My wife and me stayed in the Gueshouse for two nights during our Jordan trip. The rooms were very clean and lovely equipped. Definitively the highlight of the location was our balcony with a breathtaking overview to the Dana valley facing sunset. The owner is very very kind and takes care of you and helps you with planning your activities... More

The best thing about the Dana Guesthouse is that each room has a private balcony with breathtaking views of the Dana valley. My friends and I spent our entire evening on this balcony watching the sunset, and then watching the stars. I couldn't have asked for more in this regard. Yeah, the rooms are a little spartan. However, they are... More

The Guest House is not suitable for those who enjoy a comfortable facility. The setting is great and it is clean however that is where the compliments stop. The rooms do not have an en-suite, the beds are iron framed, the mattresses paper-thin and one of them was a double bunk. To cap it off the beds were unmade. The... More

This guesthouse could be a spectacular place to stay. Each room has a private terrace with glorious views overlooking the Dana valley with superb sunsets. Rooms are basic but very clean, and shared bathrooms are close and spacious. Food in the evening and breakfast were also ver It's let down by firstly an egregious price tag. You could easily stay... Rooms are very simple, but clean and spacious, most with beautiful views over the wadi dana. Food they serve is fantastic, very fresh, all from local ingredients. One of the best breakfasts we had in Jordan. Sunset seen from the terrace is stunning. Reserve via RSCN, they answer emails very quickly.

Excellent service, food and place to stop and catch your breath. Rooms are clean and basic but no one would want to stay in their room once they step onto the balcony, the vista is stunning. Abdullah and his team go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed tremendously spending one night in Dana Guesthouse. Fantastic location, sober and clean accommodation, friendly service, good food. Excellent advice on the excursions in the natural reserve. It is a pity that the whole area has too much litter left by visitors.

The Dana Guesthouse is located in the historic village of Dana, far from noise and traffic, a very good location if you want to rest or discover Al Ghweir. New rooms are being prepared and all of them have a private balcony with an amazing view. The old part is like a guesthouse with bathroom in the corridor and 2... More

Worth a stay for the views alone. The accommodation is basic (twin beds and shared bathrooms), but the views of the valley from the bedroom balconies more than make up for this. The supper, buffet-style Jordanian food, was very good, and the open fire was welcoming. It was fairly quiet when we stayed there (only one other couple) so don't... More

The shared bathrooms were quite dirty by the morning and the doors banged shut the entire night with loud metal sounds. The room was like a concrete jail cell with a tiny hard bed. No wifi at all. The communal dinner was our least favorite on the trip to Jordan. This place is truly roughing it in terms of hotels,... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Perched on the edge of the precipitous cliffs of Wadi Dana since 1995, this beautifully styled building merges elements of village vernacular architecture with more modern elements, creating a structure with a definable Arabic character, unlike any other in Jordan, offering breath-taking views of the reserve. It consists of only 9 comfortable rooms, but with a few extra beds, it can be made to house up to 23 people. Considering that the Guesthouse was originally meant to house researchers, all the rooms share external toilets & showers, except for one suite, which has a private bathroom, adding character and authenticity to the entire experience. Most rooms also come with private terraces that offer spectacular views of the surrounding wadi and mountains. The Guesthouse is also equipped with facilities for courses and conferences, making a perfect location for retreats and workshops. The Guesthouse is open all year round. ... more   less
