We had a great time. Our group of three does not normally do things like this, meaning enter into an immersive cultural experience in the middle of a short vacation. It was well worth the price and detour, in the end. Lots of people have written about the many wonderful activities already, so I'll add that from the small moments...

You need to be open to enjoy Feynan as much as we did - open eyes, open ears and an open mind. There's so much to learn and experience there from your Bedouin hosts and their knowledge of the region's customs, history and of course its ecology. What starts as a dramatic but barren landscape comes alive as you understand...

The lodge is set in beautiful countryside amongst the Bedouin people who staff lodge and farm locally. The food is to die for and there are lots of interesting activities scheduled daily. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and are very keen to pass on their local knowledge. We loved every minute.

The lodge is simple and quaint. The Bedouin working there are super-friendly - they even invited a couple of us to hang around the campfire with them one night. Food is very good and buffet-style so eat all you want. We did the walk out to the Roman ruins. One tip - don't come on a full moon - it...

I reserved a deluxe twin room, we were upgraded to the Deluxe King Room, which was beautiful. It was so peaceful! One of my friends had never been to Jordan before, and she loved making local beduoin friends, getting to see all the baby goats, and taking it all in. the food was delicious, and the employees were kind and...

Feynan Ecolodge is one of those places I will never forget. I recently had the absolute pleasure of staying four nights and due to sheer luck, we had the place all to ourselves for the first two nights and almost to ourselves for the second two. They were expecting large groups the day we left and I felt very grateful...

This is a place with a passion and a mission. It exists to show you the real Jordan, to challenge you on your pre-conceptions and to re-consider the way you travel, the way you think and even the way you live! It is a cultural exchange where you are able to share your life as the guides and lodge staff...

Let me start off by kicking some of the comments below. Sure, it's expensive. Sure, it's NOT a five stars hotel. But if it's what you are looking for, then you are in the wrong place. This place is willing to help the community around it and to raise awareness on the beauty of Jordan. Sustainable and eco-friendly accommodations cannot...

Beautiful room, great food and most of all, a very friendly and competent staff! We particularly enjoyed the star-gazing evening and the guided hike to the old copper mines with Ali, an excellent guide, who has amazing stories and knowledge to share.

Had twin room (no 20) which seemed small and was quite dark. Roof terrace for star gazing gives great views. Walks from front door into nature reserve, across dry river beds and up slight inclines. Evenings spent around open fire - lighting by candle, so very low - reading not an option.
