Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Petra. The rooms and the bath rooms were spacious and clean. We stayed in a private room with shared bath. Mohammed is a very kind person, who gave us a wealth of information about the place and shared stories from his life. He also called up the mini-van service to take us from Petra to Wadi Rum on the day of our travels out of Petra. The packed lunch that we got from their kitchen on one of the days we explored Petra was delicious and well packaged. It was a good time overall. WiFi speed is one area that could be improved a bit. However, I do want to recognize that Mohammed did try to put the router next to our room so we could enjoy better connection. Mohammed also touched bases with us via whatsapp before arrival to arrange cabs for pick up from Jett bus station and gave us a price to pay the taxi driver if we were to take a cab on our own. Taxi drivers in Petra are notorious and they over charge tourists. I found Mohammed's information helpful.

The hotel is clean and the bar was good. The room however was noisy all night with the generator / air con units outside being so so noisy, even with the windows closed. Worst nights sleep of our whole vacation and we camped in a tent for 3 nights on hard ground. The food was terrible to be polite, no flavour in anything, 10 people in a group all agreed that it was so bad. How anyone can not have flavour in everything is beyond belief, even all the deserts tased of nothing. Breakfast was a very poor selection and again flavourless.

I'm sorry for receiving such a bad review What are you talking about in this evaluation? I think you included this evaluation by mistake for the hotel and you mean one of the camps in Wadi Rum I would like to remove these values from our page With many thanks in advance

I cannot find words which can plenty describe our experience at Petra Princes Hotel: it was just perfect and amazing. Mohammed is the best host ever, a great person who really takes care of his guests with all his heart and passion. When we got there, Mohammed gave us a free upgrade of room, which was something that we appreciate a lot. The room was renewed few times ago and it was really nice and clean. Apart from this, Mohammed helped us with our itinerary and was really flexible and ready to accommodate us, as we needed to change our plans. He also gave us useful suggestions and tips about Petra, designing a tailor made itinerary for us during our 2 nights stay. The added value is also that Mohammed really loves to spend time with his guests and, in front of a cup of tea, he told us about his life, Petra and its culture: for us it was amazing, an unique experience. We cannot thank Mohammed enough to make our days in Petra so wonderful and we will keep him in our heart and memories forever. Thank you, Mohammed!

My experience of staying at this hotel was very comfortable. The rooms are very clean and the atmosphere is nice. All guests are welcomed like family and feel like home. Mr Mohammed and his family were the perfect hosts. The food served here is also very delicious. From breakfast and dinner, the hotel serves super delicious traditional Jordanian food. The location of this hotel is also very good, not far from Petra sites and downtown. All travelers who visit Petra will get a pleasant experience and warm welcome if they stay at this hotel.

We had a wonderful time at Petra Princes Hotel first of all thanks to our fantastic host Mohammad and his family who made us fell like we were at home. Mohammad helped us in many ways during our stay. He drew the map for us so we can see the most of Petra in two days, made us fantastic dinner and was always there if we needed something. He even arranged a trip to Wadi Rum desert for us through his friend that we enjoyed very much. Every night we had great conversations with him that helped us understand Jordan as country and Jordanians as people and I can say that Mohammad and his family are the true example of Jordanian hospitality.

I was traveling alone and was a bit scared. I saw Mohammed's great references and so I decided to stay at his hotel. From the beginning he helped me and gave me a lot of advice. My trip without him would not have been the same. He has made my solo trip wonderful. I didn't have to worry about anything. I didn't even know where to have breakfast and I had breakfast ready. They also even prepared food for me to eat in Petra. I could always have lunch or dinner and if I needed transfers they were always available to take me there or back and I felt safe. Also there was a girl who was traveling alone and was in some difficulty and he helped the traveler (without asking anything in return, just good feelings). If you are a traveler who wants to be safe, come to this hotel. They will take care of you as if you were at home. I am eternally grateful. Thank you for everything. I will be back and if friends of mine ask me about Petra tips I will recommend Petra princess hotel.

Mohammed welcome us with warm arms and made us feel at home in no time. It felt like the whole hotel was ours. We build up a great relationship. He allowed us to make tea anytime when we wished from his kitchen and I made for him too also. Mohammed had great stories to tell of his history and culture. On our first night taken us for a drive to the mountain top, to see such amazing city views. Gave us a map of Petra which was a great help as then no guild was needed. Checked in on us regularly to see if we were accommodated. It was clear that Mohammed well maintained he’s hotel with pride and joy. He’s hotel all over was very clean, rooms were very spacious, elegant to look at and almost had everything you required. Great location plenty of shops, restaurants and also near Petra. There’s a large optional spread of breakfast was great and tasty. Mohammed has he’s on garden where he grows he’s own herbs (mint leaves were great for making our tea). Mohammed arranged our transfer to the airport and we did experience difficultly, I would recommended to take the JETT bus instead. Would love to visit again and highly recommend. Only two suggestions if I may to make the room complete, a mini fridge and a safe. May I take this opportunity to thank Mohammed for welcoming us and give us a wonderful and memorable, life long experience.

This is a family ran hotel where Mohammed gives personalized attention and service to each particular guest and are treated like you're part of the family. The breakfast and dinner is delicious home cooked Jordanian food, great location with a beautiful view, and comfortable rooms. We had an amazing stay at the petra princes hotel/petra guest house! Mohammed is the best host you will ever meet. The food was absolutely amazing, and we had a great time sharing stories and nice tea. He even took us and other guests to see Petra during the night from a viewpoint on top of the mountain, overall he made sure we were of nothing short. Thank you very much Mohammed!!
