Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Petra Elite Hotel has views over Petra town but the roads are steep and narrow and it really isn’t an area for walkers. We were pleased with our room which was comfortable and had a couple of chairs and a functional bathroom. Wifi was a problem when we were there as it was only available in the foyer and restaurant but perhaps this was only an issue on the day.

I stayed here with a tour group and found this to be a surprising gem. The room although small is new and spotlessly clean The staff are amazing and very helpful, especially the lovely Wasan on front desk, who really went out of her way to help me. The food is also amazing with incredible quality and so much variety. We had the breakfast and dinner buffet. The dinner is quite expensive at 20JOD but totally worth it when compared with a place we went to in town The view from there over Petra is special so see if you can get a room on that side I would definitely stay there again

A modern hotel, clean and fantastic staff. Mohammed and his colleagues were incredibly helpful and kind. We have been in Jordan for about a week now and consider this the hotel the best one on our trip so far.

We were a family of 4 and stayed in their family room. New hotel. The staff were very polite. There is a problem with the room air conditioning. The toilet smell gets mixed up with room fresh air inlet and hence the room stinks. Hope they can fix it. Other than this, the room is comfortable. Also their food options in the breakfast is extremely limited for vegetarians.

We stayed at this hotel for one night during our Jordan round trip. Fortunately we had a driver as the hotel is very high up and after a day in Petra we were too exhaused to walk all the way up. But being high up is the hotels great asset and we enjoyed the spectacular view during breakfast and dinner from the hotel restaurant or roof terrace. The food was the best food we had during our 1 week stay in Jordan in the hotels. It had many national and traditional food which we liked. Everything was fresh and looked very good. The staff spoke English very well and could answer all of our questions about the content of the food. I enjoyed a very good massage after a long walking day in Petra. The staff of the restaurant and reception is very friendly and helpful and we felt very well looked after.

Awful Construction right over our room. Extremely loud. Complaining about it did not matter. Ten more minutes we were told many times. I understand you need to fix things, but you should let your customers know ahead of time. Never again

I have visited over 41 countries (not many by anyone’s standard) and have stayed in 4* and 5* hotels, but have to say that Petra Elite Hotel has to be one of the best! The hotel may just be a 4* but the services and facilities equals, maybe be more to that of a 5* hotel. You will love Sadeel and was the perfect host I have ever come across in all of my travels. Speaks clearly, has a great smoothing and calming voice and someone you would want to meet first after a long journey from Amman to Petra. Sadeel along with Aya and Vanessa cant just do enough to make your stay an enjoyable experience. Marie, the housekeeper was great too and does not cut corners, cleans the room well, even pairs our slippers and tidy up our toiletries, little things like that makes such difference in hotel experience. Restaurants staff were all very attentive and the food selection was varied, but due to long and tiring walks in Petra we had room service twice. which brings me to maybe 1 constructive feedback, room service delivery should be on wheeled trolley like those you would see in 5* hotels other than that, all was just perfect. Wife used the massage and spa service and Vida really looked after my wife. WiFi was great throughout the hotel and the rooms have usb wall sockets so if you forget your travel adapter you can still charge your phone, but needless to say, you should have your own charge cable as it would not be unfair to expect the hotel to provide them. Location to the Petra visitor centre is a mere 10 mins walk, but because there is a lot of walking inside Petra, we chose to use taxi which cost 5Jod to go back and forth to the hotel. Would I use this hotel again, well , a resounding YES, and would highly recommend it as it is possible the best hotel you are ever going to get in Petra due to its location, staff, room\bed quality, food restaurant and room service. I believe there is a car park too, but I did not use it Hotel is 10/10 for everything. . Sadeel and team - thank you so much for looking after us. One of the best hotel experience I have had in my years of travel.

The Petra Elite Hotel was amazing. The Sunset Room on the top floor offered great views of the sunset over the city. The rooms were very modern and comfortable and the spa was great. We had the Turkish bath experience which was reasonably priced and luxurious. Mohamed, Vida, and one other woman (unfortunately we didn't get her name) in the spa were all terrific. We'd highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel is freshly renovated, rooms are comfortable but small, beds are amazing, breakfast is full of variety and tasty. We stayed 1 night, but I would recommend 2 nights stay. Location is not walkable to centre or restaurants. If you are having a car, would recommend staying there. Hotel has its own indoor pool.

The hotel room was clean and modern. The breakfast and dinner choices were good. We had a comfortable 2-night stay in Petra. The only drawback is the location is not within a short walking distance to the Petra gate.
