Really lovely site, spotless facilities, friendly and helpful staff, in very easy reach of many tourist attractions. An easy tow off the M6 we loved it so much we're going back in the Spring. Would definitely recommend.

Husband, me and our motorhome stayed here. Granted, it was only one night but a great site! Plenty of space between vans, facilities are perfect - clean, plenty of hot water etc.. The Shrewsbury Arms, walking distance, is great for food and fabulous pint of Guinness. My only bug, sorry James and Jackie, WiFi signal is rubbish! We have 'motorhome wifi', which will pick up any signal and boost it - not at yours! We will be back because it is a great site! Thank you for doing this site properly ❤️

The site is pretty and well maintained. Everything was very clean. The staff were very helpful. There is hardly any noise from the nearby road. There is Wifi available for a small fee. All in all a relaxing environment.

Today is our last day of a 3 night trip to Elm Cottage and our 2nd visit here. What a fantastic campsite! Originally recommended to us by a friend and didn't disapoint, only an hour drive from us - Wirral. So organised and clean you can see a lot of hard work goes in to the upkeep of the camp. We were on pitch C05 which isn't far to walk from toilets. Toilets and showers cleaned very regularly you can tell, they are always clean. Little shop on site for any amenities you need, we didn't use but our children did for their snacks. 10 min drive away there is a shopping centre, Aldi, and Asda plus a wetherspoons with generous outside seating which was great as we had our dog. On site there is a dog walking path rather large that dogs can go off lead and it will take you round the back of the site. One downside is the wasps! They are out morning noon and night and such a pain, nothing the site can do about them though, we will bring a citronella candle next time to hopefully repell them. Trips out Delamere Forest is 10 min away, lovely walk with lots of routes and nice cafe and lots of ice cream! Oulton Park also 10 min away with car racing. We visited Llangollen, Wales which is an hour in the car but a beautiful place to visit. We stayed Mon- Thurs so unfortunately missed out on the amazing crepes made on site on a Saturday morning they are so yummy lots of different fillings from £3.50. Well worth it. On Friday evening its pizza night, reserve a slot when you check in these are gorgeous fresh made with pizza stove, the best we have tasted ever! Luckily for us they put an extra pizza night on this Wed. Pizzas are £9 plus 50p for extra toppings and garlic bread is £8. We bought 2 between the 5 of us but will get more next time for sure. Check in is 1.30 but if there's availability for £10 you can check in earlier. Check out 12pm but an extra £10 you get to check out at 5pm or £15 check out at 8pm. We are gutted to be going home today but will definitely be back.

Absolutely fabulous site. We stayed for four nights and it was just not long enough. The site is very well maintained, the pitches are huge, toilets & showers are immaculate. The owners are very friendly. On a Friday evening they do pizzas cooked to order in the wood fired oven - they are amazing. None of us wanted to leave. Without a doubt we will be returning.

We always go to this site at least twice a year. It never disappoints, owners and wardens are excellent, nothing is too much trouble. The site is immaculate and so are the toilets and showers. There is a well stocked shop and the homemade pizzas are delicious. We will be back for another enjoyable visit.

Had a great visit to Elm Cottage & we’d definitely return. We’d ordered pizza for our Friday night arrival which was delicious - you have to order as you’re given a time slot & don’t forget your cash (we did but they were very gracious in letting us nip out for the remainder of the bill). The site was clean, very well looked after & had a great dog walking facility. The kids loved the adventure playground too. It’s in a great location not far from Delamere Forest & the welcome map gave some great suggestions of nearby places to eat & sights.

Having just left Elm Cottage after a week camping I am genuinely so sad to be leaving. It’s been a fantastic week here (minus the terrible weather ☔️💨). Unfortunately we didn’t stay on site as much as we would have liked due to this but meant we got to go out and explore the local areas. We did trips to Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, Winsford and all the other little places nearby! We were definitely kept busy. The site is large! The camping area is generous with the pitch sizes more than enough to accommodate our Airedale 6SE. We didn’t feel like we were to close to others either. Electric hook up handled all of our devices and the trusty air fryer. There is a small play park for the kids which all 3 of ours loved. It was great for us to sit and watch them from our pitch (C20). The ground is soft and well kept. The shower and toilet blocks were always immaculate! Honestly never felt like they were dirty. The showers are HOT and powerful. Better than my own shower at home. Only downside to the showers is they are a bit small if you are trying to wash yourself and maybe another child in there. There isn’t a huge space to keep your clothes separate so it’s best to head up shower ready I suppose. The addition of maybe a small shower seat might work to rest some clothes on. There are hangers behind the doors though. You can get a disabled/family changing room key for £20 refundable deposit and we probably should have done that to give us more space for washing the kids. Nevertheless I really can’t complain. Laundry room is £5 per wash and dry. They aren’t huge machines so I had to split my drying into 2 loads to get it dry properly. Plenty of dish washing areas. On Friday nights they do homemade pizzas. We had them and they were so good! The BBQ chicken was really nice. The pepperoni wasn’t crispy enough for me so just picked it off. On Saturday morning they do homemade crepes with fillings (Nutella, Banana, Strawberry, Sugar, Lemon, Syrup). The staff. What can I say. They are all just such lovely, helpful people. All of them were just so polite and always said hello and were on hand to help should you need anything. It’s family run and the owners you can tell respect their staff it has such a wonderful feel about it. Their children help out around the site as well doing the pizzas and crepes at the weekends. Overall we have loved our stay here. It’s a nice quiet site where everyone respected the rules and made it a lovely week for us. We will most definitely be back next year, hopefully with better weather! ☀️
