I don’t usually write reviews but I thought The Hollies Forest Lodges definitely deserved one. We stayed in The Spruce. It was honestly amazing from start to finish. We arrived and the lodge had stickers on the door to confirm it had been sanitised which was a nice touch for peace of mind. When we entered we were actually shocked how the lodge was so much bigger than the pictures made it appear. The whole lodge was spotless throughout and there were even anti bacterial products left under the sink which we could use to keep everything clean throughout our stay. I liked how even though the lodges were quite close to each other you couldn’t hear anyone in the other lodges or see anyone from your hot tub/ patio area with all the surrounding trees. We ended up going to the on site cafe a few time during our stay. It was so convenient and the food was delicious. Defiantly recommend checking the cafe out during your stay. The Hollies Farm shop is a must! The food is delicious & the staff are lovely and always happy to help if possible. The Christmas & gift shop are also a must! I think I spent far too much money there over the week but I’ve not got loads of beautiful Christmas gifts for everyone. Thank you to The Hollies for a wonderful stay. Hope you visit again in the near future.…
Just arrived home after staying in the Nordmann Fir for a week, had a wonderful time. First of all I would like to point out how spotless the lodge was, we arrived 30 mins before 4pm, and the cleaners were just sanitizing the floors. Once in, the place was immaculate, so a huge thanks to the cleaners, they did an amazing job. They also cleaned the hot tub every morning The onsite shop has been expanded since we last came and the variety and quality on offer is superb, we BBQ one evening and bought all the food from the shop. It was fantastic. Nothing bad to say about the place, it has great links into chester and other places to visit. Definately worth the visit and will be returning
Stayed here for a second time. As before the lodge was spotless and very well equipped. It was extremely comfortable, as were the beds. The staff were excellent, welcoming and friendly, the hot tub being cleaned every day between 10.30 and 11.00. The price may sound expensive but when it is broken down to per room per day, it works out less than a four star hotel, and you get so much more. There are only five lodges, so noise from others during the day is minimal. They say they enforce the minimal noise after 10 pm rule strictly so this is not the place to go if you want to party into the night, but it is if you want a quite nights sleep. We did have a problem with a bathroom tap, reported this and it was sorted. The farm shop is excellent, not cheap, but you get the quality you pay for. The staff are knowledgeable about what they sell, and you do get a 10% discount.…

Stayed at the Grand Fir for 2 nights cost £600 which is not cheap ..good points are Lodge was very clean .had everything you needed .hot tub was fun although cover and decking looks as though its tired and seen better days .peaceful and bar 59 meal on site nice ..even though they did forget my balloons and banner my daughter had travelled earlier in the day to ask to put on table. Shop expensive but it is quality and when your away I don't mind that .. Bad points .. Lodges are very expensive and are very close together while we were in hot tub next doors dog was barking about 15 feet away very annoying. And on the other side their car was parked I would say 3 feet from our lodge .so not a very secluded private area.. Little signs in bathroom saying these bits of soap etc are for my enjoyment in the lodge if they are removed I will be charged lol ..at £600 for 2 days ??. The showers worked on and off warm then cold . The check out time was 10am far to early .you go for a rest and have to be up at 7.30 8 am to shower .pack. have breakfast etc etc .and 4 people came to clean hot tub at 9.25 am ..??? Hold on were not supposed to be out by 10am would of been quite embarrassing if we had wanted one last dip before we left .. All in all just above average for the price which is very expensive …
