Boulder beach lodge has a nice restaurant with an amazing view over the bay. The menu is Good and the fish dishes as expected are great, try the basket. Good coffee, good beer and a nice wine collection What to say more. Understandable: Due to water saving regulations no water available to get sand of your feet

A fantastic place to stay when you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The rooms are adequate and comfortable and the lack of a television is a bonus. To wake up opposite , and eat breakfast next to, some of the most stunning scenery anywhere is priceless. The staff are extremely welcoming and affable...

Boulders Beach Lodge is an excellent location from which to explore the Cape. It's situated within an easy drive from Cape Town and equally convenient to Cape Point. The rooms are clean, the staff friendly, and the penguins close by. The lodge is located right at the beach and several penguins make their nests in and amongst the facilities. I...

My wife and I love Boulders Beach and decided to stay at the Boulders Beach Lodge for the weekend. Actually we stayed Friday night and left early on Saturday as the accommodation was not up to standard. The room is basic but clean but the location was noisy and lacked atmosphere. There was no view from our room. The restaurant...

Wonderful location. On the first night of stay the 2 bedside lamps were not working and when I woke up the following morning , I discovered that there were old blood stained sheets. There was also no bath plug for 2 nights and they only provided 1 slither of soap with no shampoo or shower gel. The bathroom tiles were...

Had a drink before visiting the penguins and went back for lunch as the food being served looked good, but we were fooled. Food was OK, but not special. First meal in Cape Town area that disappointed. Fish and seafood was frozen. Felt like tourist food for guests who were passing through. Toilets can be a guide to an establishments...

This is just steps away from the Penguin beach hence 4 stars. However, the beach is not open 24 hours so you can't walk to beach before 8am to see penguins. You might see a few penguins in the parking lot or boulders nearby. The accommodations are fairly dated. The floor, walls, beds etc. are very old and could use...

From our room could see the sea - just . Room just ok...small....ripped curtain...hole in bath panel....old bathroom fittings. Worst of all is that the restaurant is closed .at 5 pm..which means a trip into Simonstown we did find a good fish and chip shop there but prefer to eat close to where we are staying. Breakfast is adequate but...

I had thought that we more or less would have penguins in our room with "sea views from the balcony". They sadly failed to mention that you had to look across a street and a parking lot in order to see the sea!! I had expected something more after having stayed at some really cheap but wonderful places ahead of...
