We recently spent two nights at Buhoma Lodge, and couldn't have been happier with the hotel or the location. Our room was luxurious, and filled with those little touches which excellent hotels tend to provide. The food was delicious, and the staff members were all...More
We loved our stay at Buhoma. Felt as though we were living in a tree house, but with lovely amenities, like hot showers, good food, and complimentary massage. Note: We were able to charge devices in the main lobby area, but there were no outlets...More
We came here for gorilla trekking, which the lodge was very accommodating about. The manager Titus was very helpful for all our needs (including wifi, which was a bit sketchy), and the rest of the staff was attentive and eager to pllease. There were monkeys...More
I cannot speak effectively enough to the service experienced in this lovely lodge. It's in the park and you feel that you are, in fact, in the forest with the animals and beauty Uganda has to offer. The Manager, Titus, was amazing, learning everyone's name...More

They seem to have all the converters you need but you should obviously bring your own. Tips are fine and appreciated in local currency or U.S. dollars. The trekking was great! You can specify in advance whether you feel up to a more difficult hike or not, depending on availability. Wear a long sleeve breathable shirt, bring a rain cover, hat and gloves (to brush aside branches). And enjoy!
