Nshongi camp is amazing - truly connected to nature in amongst the forest (and right by the entrance to the Bwindi Forest Park). Lovely bandas to stay in, wonderful food and friendly staff. Great wildlife sightings too including chameleons. The camp has a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommended!

We went here because everyone was talking well of this place. It is in the forest and in front of the Bwindi Forest. The road to get there is not easy but it is worthy. The staff is so kind... they took and brought our luggage, they brought us to the Uwa camp!! The banda where you sleep is rustic,...

They welcomed me nicely. Very good cooks up breakfast. Eggs can not probably anywhere! Lack of electricity and GSM signal was more beneficial to rest. And fall asleep listening to the sounds of the jungle was beautiful. Even if you can hear even under the bed. ☺

My partner and I spent three nights at Nshongi Camp with Silver and his team. It was great and I would do it again in a second. We didn't want to leave! The camp borders Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and it is a very short walk to the Rushaga Gate, where the gorilla treks starts. This is the only accommodation...

Nshongi camp is all you need for a perfect immersion into ugandan countryside life and gorilla tracking experience. It's located 10 minutes walk from the gorilla tracking start point and 5 minutes from the small Rushaga village where you can find a small shop and a bar with pool table. The camp is immersed in the nature with animals passing...

When we saw this Camp, hidden in a valley bordering the Impenetrable jungle, we were amazed! The location near a swamp in front of huge trees and fern trees was great. And the noises from the forest in the night! One of the most beautiful places I saw in Uganda up to now. Regarding the other things, the banda was...

We stayed at Nshongi camp for 2 nights. What a nice place! We stayed in one of the bandas. The open shower is amazing! The staff is very friendly and the food is great. Amazing what they can do whitout electricity. Nshongi camp is a great place for gorilla tracking and prices are resonable.

We spent 1 night there in February. It was such an amazing place, very kind staff and very helpful owner. We found it to be by far the most reasonable priced accommodation in the area. Look out for the forest elephant walking into the ground! Unfortunately we just missed him a day before we arrived. You have to try the...

This is the PERFECT place to begin and end your gorilla trek in Bwindi. Be sure to stay at least 2 nights - the food is fantastic and the atmosphere is surreal (right on the edge of the forest). The shower was one of the most relaxing that I've had in Uganda. They heat the water themselves and it is...

The only disappointment was that there were so few people booking this amazing place. I would encourage anyone reading these reviews to take the chance, and experience Uganda's hospitality in a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable paradise surrounded by a tropical rain forest over 25,000 years old. WE had hot showers and came prepared with battery packs for our cameras. The...
