I love this hotel. The front desk was pleasant and it's ideally located across from the lake and the middle of everything. The view is amazing and the balcony is just awesome. The hotel is really kept at American standard in cleanliness and the bathroom was well scrubbed and clean. This is rare in India for a heritage hotel. The...

The views of the lake from this hotel are amazing, but there are signs everywhere forbidding photography of the lake from the hotel. That's not a problem as it is right next to "sunset point" from where you can take all your photographs. We had a room on the second floor with a couple of chairs and a table outside...

Another place with a great location, right next to the best sunset spot on the lake. Staff were nice. Room a bit shabby. Breakfast was pretty woeful - the tea was particularly bad (tasting more like the dishwater the cups were probably washed in) and one of us was unwell after breakfast - we think from the bread pakora. If...

We had booked to stay here for a night just after the end of the Fair, so Pushkar was by no means as frantic or noisy as it must have been during this period. That said, it is hardly a restful place; the hotel's location on the lake at the edge of the town is admirable, but there is a...

We checked in at 6 pm just for the night. Though we were well aware of what we were opting for, we still took up this hotel because it is so centrally located. Other than location, a few points to consider and weigh before booking The view from the terrace is absolutely amazing. Check out time is 10 am Meals;...

The Pushkar Palace is a heritage hotel and staying here is fascinating, if a bit like feeling you've stumbled into a different era. Walls are decorated with faded sepia prints of moustached maharajahs and hunting scenes, some dating back to the very early 1900s. Some of the stained worn tablecloths in the dining rooms probably also dated from that era....

This could be a real gem with a great location and old world charm. It is let down by abysmal restaurant staff who are rude and surly, grubby unironed linen and a tasteless bland menu for all meals which is buffet help yourself. They are currently charging customers 106 rupees for a bottle of water including those in the rooms...

The hotel is 3 floors high and has lifts. All rooms are off a long corridor with rooms on one side, and where my room was, the corridor provided wonderful views over the lake. Each room has a table and chairs so you can look at the views. The other side of the hotel looks out over the long rectangular...

We didn't stay here but we did stop by for lunch and wow were we surprised! We sat in the central courtyard garden and enjoyed some beautiful samosas filled with potatoes, peas, cashews, fresh herbs and spices. They were the best samosas we are all holiday! We also had some beautiful tikka paneer - had a delicious crust on it....
