This is one great stay! The staff are fantastic. The rooms are large. Pool area is very nice. The food was excellent I can’t think of anything we didn’t like! Special acknowledgement to Tom of the waitstaff - really exceptional. The hotel definitely has the personalized feel of an owner operator and not a corporate entity.

I would rate this hotel as 3 star, definitely not 4 star because: - the furniture in the room is very dated - the floor carpet condition is so old and stained all over the room - I’ve stayed for 8 nights and my bedding sheets was changed only once - the breakfast buffet is pretty small and very limited and there was only one small plate with fruits for the whole restaurant - the main course meal that included in the half board package is not bad but pretty small - the ‘afternoon snack’ that included into the half-board package looked like whatever was left from the morning breakfast plus a couple of pieces of some kind of pie or cream cake. Also, no soft drinks are included, no tea, no coffer, no water, no juice for the afternoon snack as well as for the dinner. If you want any of these drinks, you have to pay for it. For example, they charge for the tea 5 euros…

Amazing!!! Right from arriving until departure we were treated so well by ALL members of staff. ROOM: We had a superior twin south facing which was huge, with a beautiful view down into Seefeld. The beds were so comfortable, extremely clean and warm (if anything too warm, we ended up turning the radiators down and opening the window especially at night) The bathroom was spacious, we had a bath with shower over, the former lovely after a day skiing. Towels fluffy and absorbent, dual sinks and basic toiletries provided. Bathrobes and slippers along with a bag with towels for the swimming pool. A FREE safe is provided in the room which easily took two I pads and more. FOOD: If you have the option go for half board, you won’t be disappointed with the menu especially dinner in the evening….6 courses if you include cheese. A choice of 3 mains offered for dinner, chosen in the morning. The food was delicious and well presented, al a carte made it so special opposed to buffet. A very relaxed environment. The waiters make the experience truely special especially Steffan, Armen, Tom and Amile (hope I’ve spelt correctly). Breakfast was mainly traditional continental plus hot eggs (scrambled or fried) and bacon. Cakes, soups, bread, cheeses and hams served between 3 & 5pm in the bar, a lovely touch after a day on the slopes/trails. SPA/POOL/GYM: Accessed by your room key (great security idea). We used these facilities daily and were impressed again with the cleanliness and condition The only grip I had was children jumping in the pool and swimming width wise when adults were trying to quietly swim lengths…no fault of the hotel, I blame their parents for allowing such conduct. A nice touch in the spa area was the option to have a hot herbal tea or cold water. The hotel placed a sign indicating no swimwear and no under 14s in the area. Not everyone is comfortable of sitting naked or wrapped in a towel so was off putting at first…Swimwear was worn by several people. The gym is well stocked with equipment and weights. There is a ski equipment storage area accessed by room key on ground level with a heated boot rack. LOCATION: Ideally situated within a 15 minute walk to the Areana area for cross country skiing and just a few minutes walk to a bus stop. Would I return? Most definitely if we were to cross country ski in the future. Yes you can find cheaper accommodation in the town but I doubt you will find one which is of such a high standard throughout.

Such a lovely hotel, made really special by the fantastic staff, particularly the team in the restaurant. As a solo-female-traveller, it can sometimes feel a bit daunting, but the wonderful maitre d, Stephan and his team made me feel very welcome and looked after. The food was fantastic, and as a vegetarian, it was so nice that I wasn't eating cheese or pasta every evening....in fact, I hardly ate these all week! The dishes were creative, delicious and beautifully presented. Breakfast was also wonderful (love the butter machine!). I had a single room, which was spacious and had plenty of storage space. The balcony (situated directly above the reception - flags flying) was large, so would be good in the summer. Skiing was pretty straightforward....from the ski room it was a short walk across the car park, then a little run down the nursery slope, skis off for a short walk over the little bridge, turn right, then buses to Rosschute and Gswandkopf depart from the stop on the far side of the roundabout (opposite the car park/public WC). The stop could be better signposted, but its the one that has the ski bus timetable on it (not the stop on the side of the car park, which caught out a number of passengers!). At the end of a day's skiing, take the bus back to this point, retrace your steps, take the T-bar back up the nursery slope, go over the top (rather than back down the run), keep to the left and look out for the little track to the left (not easy in flat light) and pull yourself along until you get back to the hotel car park. Its slightly elevated above the town, but a 5ish minute walk down hill, either across the field directly in front, or down the road. I had a great time at the Hochland and hope to return!

The room was one of the best we have ever had with plenty of sitting space and more than enough wardrobe and drawer space. Initially we wanted a separate shower but in fact the shower over the bath was adequate for our needs. The south facing balcony was great with wonderful views over Seefeld. We were half board with up to five courses if the salad is included with all food presented to a very high standard. There was always a meat, fish and vegetarian option available for main course. Without exception all the serving staff were friendly and highly attentive. If you needed a break in between courses, this was always possible. Breakfasts were more than adequate for us although neither of us eat full English breakfast. We particularly liked the machine which delivers a fresh pat of butter at the touch of a button. At first we thought the Hochland might be a little too far away from the bus and train station, but in fact the path at the back of the hotel leads directly into town and it only took us fifteen minutes to walk to the station and we are not quick walkers. We liked this traditional Austrian hotel very much and would certainly hope to return.

Stayed 8 nights in a doble superior room,on a half board basis, and all in all were very happy. The room was bright and clean,The meals were very good for our taste. The staff got out of their way to fulfill every wish,in particular Miliza,Emil and Stefan. Only one small remark:the water in the swimming pool was a little too cold . But all in all ,an excellent hotel.

We found the Hochland to be an extremely welcoming hotel with a helpful and friendly staff. It's in a great location for gentle or more adventurous walking and or cycling, for visiting nearby Innsbruck or Germany. Great communication prior to stay. Very large, well appointed room. As vegetarians there was always a choice and restaurant staff were attentive to our needs. Staff were all helpful, friendly and welcoming. Great pool and spa facilities. Breakfast - good choice (the fact that it wasn't 'Full English' didn't take away from the quantity and quality / choice). Evening meal was 5 courses - great quality and beautifully presented. Would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in room. Cost of an afternoon cup of tea was more that a glass of house wine! Overall very pleased and would definitely return.

The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the absolute center of Seefeld. It's a cozy hotel with a good lounge to relax in, a nice pool area and a resturant with a menu that varies every day. The rooms are spacious, and the views from the rooms are spectacular - and likely much better than the hotels in the city center. The staff is very attentative and adaptive when something is needed. If I am to go back to Seefeld, I will absolutely look up Hochland again
