Hotel Athena has nice air conditioning in the rooms. Our room had a nice balcony with a table and two chairs. We enjoyed a great breakfast in the morning. Will definitely come back! The hotel is in the center of Nafplio in walking distance to everything.

We stayed at hotel Athena with our family and friends. Fantastic hotel, lovely location, wonderful breakfast and very friendly and charming hosts. We parked at the dock area and walked over to the hotel located at the main Syntagmatos Square. The hotel was recently renovated and is charming, beautiful & clean. We stayed during the Greek Independence Day holiday weekend,...

We visited Hotel ATHENA in Nafplio during our Easter holidays in Greece. ATHENA is a small charming hotel in the heart of Nafplio, the central square. The owner is Mr Demetris, a local man who runs his hotel with love and care. Rooms are not very big, rather small, but very cosy and comfortable which makes up for the space....

Very clean, well managed and well maintained property, with quiet spacious rooms, a wonderful breakfast buffet, and friendly staff all rounded in a fabulous location right on the main square. There is no parking right in front obviously as it's a car free area, but that adds to the attraction of this wonderful tow, and parking is a short distance...

We stayed at Hotel Athena because our previous hotel was completely booked. This ended up being a fortuitous event. We did have trouble finding the hotel but that is just the way Nafplio is. The woman at the reception was very kind and welcoming. Our room was spacious enough. There is a large closet and an even larger bathroom with...

I can't complain about anything serious, the rooms were spacious and nice, the location is great and the breakfast was good too but the staff at the reception has some serious attitude issues. They were far from welcoming, telling the residents off all the time and being harsh with everyone. So if you don't plan on spending time on the...

This hotel was completely remodelled in 2015 and has been totally modernized. Note that all the user generated pictures on Tripadvisor are currently of the 'old' Hotel Athena. It now has a bit of northern European feel, so some people might find it less romantic. We found the hotel extremely comfortable with nice and clean rooms. The staff hospitality was...

Arrived into Nafplio on a Sunday in December. Looked up the lodging posibilities half an hour before and decided for the well rated Hotel Athena. The room was disappointing. A bare room which seemed cold and WAS cold. There was nothing welcoming about it. A bed, a small desk with a chair and an open closet. Plus a diminutive bathroom.That...

Arriving to Nafplio without a prior booking, on what seemed to be the most popular weekend during the Epidavros Cultural Festival, we were lucky to be advised to check with the newly opened Hotel Athena by yet another fully booked hotel. We were greeted with much hospitality and treated very well from check-in till check-out. Room was clean and spotless,...

Recently renovated, this property is located right at the heart of the old city, overlooking Syntagma Square. Hotel staff are very polite and helpful, more than willing to help and we even got a free upgrade of room! The property is very clean and the rooms very nicely decorated. Fabulous view of the square and city from the 3rd floor...
