Stayed here for 4 nights and we were absolutely delighted with this accommodation. Extremely clean, quiet, fantastic centrally located in the old Town. Lovely room with large balcony to sit out on, which we used in the morning, early evenings and post dinner. Fantastic to have the use of a small kitchen, where fresh ground coffee was supplied to make your own coffee, and little chocolate biscuits an added bonus with the coffee. Can't recommend this accommodation more highly, it was perfect.

We stayed 3 nights here Nov 21-24 and it was a great base for local Acronafplio castle, Palamidi fortress as well as day trips to Mystras, Epidaurus, Tiryns etc. Our room was comfortable though quite small. The common kitchen was just outside our room. Very convenient. Location in the old town was handy. We drove into the old town from the zagori region, unloaded our luggage ... this is allowed though there is a no entry sign for cars at the entrance. Same thing on the morning we left, brought our car. loaded our luggage and drove off to Athens visiting Mycenae, Akrocorinth on the way. Parking at port, just 5 minute walk away. Breakfast stuff left in the kitchen for self serve is pretty good... nice cake and bread, also milk, juice etc.

Pension Isabo was like our little tree house in Napflio. It is way up the top of a long steep flight of stairs, which was no surprise to us -- and in fact added to the charm. Halfway up the stairs is a shared kitchen area with self serve coffee and toast, marmalade, honey and cake. No charge for these or for the fruit juices we found in our refrigerator. The room is small, just big enough to accommodate a dresser desk and a double size bed. It has three windows that open completely with charming exterior shutters that open also. It had air conditioning or an hour case heat to take the chill off as necessary and under our control. Lots of hot water in a tiny bathroom but clean. Perhaps the nicest part of the room was our balcony which sat exactly two people of small size and overlooked the street where we sat and watched the moon rise, and sipped on our bottle of wine. Stray cats and dogs that are common in nafplio wandered the streets with all the tourists beneath us. Be warned that sometimes the Stray Cats sing at night, as do some of the tourists in late night clubs. Nafplio is a Charming old town area to spend a few days, and a great place to use for visiting nearby attractions including ancient ruins sites at Mycenae, Nemea, Epidavros, and the island of Poros. Isabo entrance is a bit hard to find as it is down cute little alley behind the lingierie store which sits below it. ask inside the store for Teodora to let you in. .…

Greece in summer is a place to enjoy the outdoors and with this in mind we always make sure we book a room with a balcony or terrace. There have been some memorable venues but the loft room with terrace at the Pension Isabo has to be one of my top 5 favorites. We were traveling with friends and when we arrived our host showed us the two rooms we had booked and let us decide who wanted which one. The second floor room was large and had two balconies with a pleasant cross breeze blowing between them. The loft bedroom was noticeably smaller (even a bit cramped on the inside) but the terrace was as large as the room and affords a wonderful view of the ancient Akronauplia Fortress and the rooftops towards Papanikolaou Street, once the main street of during the time when Nafplio became the first capital of the modern Greek State. My favorite was instantly the small bedroom with the big terrace. Our friends were a bit concerned that I had sacrificed for their comfort and convenience as the common kitchen is on the second floor and reaching the loft requires making your way up a narrow steep staircase and along a short catwalk. This can be a small challenge when carrying a tray of coffee, toast and fruit up the stairs for breakfast on the terrace. The kitchen provides a place to make yourself breakfast and the hotel usually keeps a supply of fruit, juices, coffee, toast and cake on hand for the purpose. There is also a small fridge in the room to keep your water cool and a few extras like cheese and retsina from the nearby Τ' Αναπλιώτικο Μπακάλικο. The Pension Isabo served as our base for nearly a week as we enjoyed exploring the nearby beaches and castles, discovering new restaurants and shops tucked into the narrow streets of the old town and venturing out for a few excursions around the Peloponnese. Nafplio is an amazing place to visit with plenty of things to do. The availability of plenty of free parking at the port with easy access to the old town and the waterfront tavernas makes this a popular weekend getaway for Greeks as well as visitors.…

This pension is situated at the edge between old Navplion town and its modern districts, and 2 minutes walking to the staircase which leads you The Castle, excellent position! 5 minutes to the seaside promenade too. Easy to find if you have looked it up before your trip. Kind and smiley hosts make you feel immediately at home! Many mention steep indoor staircase, yes, it is steep and narrow, but generally you only drag your heavy stuff twice: once up and once down, so I don't count it as a con. You have a clean cozy room with reasonable space both in living roon and bath room. Streets can be noisy in high season time but that's old town! And you have kitchen which never depletes of cookies, milk, honey, bread, fruits and tableware. Overall, we liked it so much.

I enjoyed my stay in Isabo. The hotel has its charms and I think many travellers will like this place a lot. The staff were very helpful and friendly; thank you, Yana. Other guests mentioned dated bathroom and furnishing, I would agree on that. But all facilities were in good working condition and I was not bothered by the noise, though it is indeed always busy outside :). Isabo is very close to the bus station, main sights and the beach [15 min walk]. Every guest can enjoy coffee and snacks from the shared kitchen. Good value for money.

We had a room on the first floor dual aspect with two balconies. Really nice room and and the balcony has a couple of folding chairs so enjoyed sitting there on the last night and watching life on the street below. Very quaint. Room was well appointed with all the basic requirements catered for. Service Was always with a smile and adequate. Breakfast was a diy job and the pros were you could have breakfast at any time and the room was cheaper. The con was well I couldn't be bothered so just had coffee at one of the lovely cafes in the street below! There is free bottled water and a fridge in the room which was very handy. Cons are the rooms are a little dated especially the bathrooms. The windows provide little in terms of protection from noise and light with thin curtains and poor glazing which is annoying as you are in the centre of old town. We stayed Sat-Tue and Sat was a little crazy for disturbances - partying finished around 3am and the bin collector truck was around at 5am. No sleep! Finally, the room smelled of raw sewage when we arrived coming in. Once the bathroom had been used and flushed and the room aired the smell was gone so the hotel should air their rooms especially given the age of the drainage systems etc. Really enjoyed my stay in Nafplio and this is a good place to stay. The above are frustrations though minor when you consider the hotel as a whole.…

Stayed for 6 nights in room 1, dual aspect with 2 balconies. Shared kitchen is on the landing and replenished daily with free milk, coffee, fruit, cake, juice, water etc for DIY breakfasts or snacks. Room clean and bathroom functional. Would have given 5 stars, but bathroom a bit dated and the bed a bit hard. Note that stairs to room 1 & 2 on the first floor are steep and very steep to rooms 3 & 4 on 2nd floor. Also, there is some noise from local bars and although pedestrianised, it is Greece, so car and bikes pass regularly. Free parking by harbour, 5 mins walk away. Great central location, we loved our stay.

I stayed there around a year ago and I was presently surprised. Although the pension is near the center of the town the room I stayed (1rst floor) was quiet enough. Also on the 1rst floor there was a common self-service kitchen. The pension does not have many rooms and thus is quite stylish. The owners are very helpful, warm and polite.
