Really nice place to stay, Mary was a fantastic host. Lovely big rooms looking out on to the garden and a sunny conservatory to enjoy tea and cake. We enjoyed sitting around the breakfast table and chatting to Mary and the other guests. Parker's restaurant was a great recommendation for food.

Mary was great as was the property. She was able to get all 11 of us in. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was great as well. Mary went above and beyond just hosting us. She made us feel at home and even helped get us all into the local pub for dinner. Also, she came to...

After 8 days of touring, moving across the country, stepping into Mary's house seemed like a grounding. Mary met us at the Abbey, directed us to her home, then, as soon as we were shown our room and luggage was brought in, she invited us for tea and goodies in the sunroom (my favorite place in the whole house.) We...

After a superb stay last year we had 2 nights at Abbeyvale in May this year when visiting family in Thurles. Once again we had a wonderful stay. Clean, tidy rooms in a lovely house. Mary takes pride in running Abbeyvale and it shows. It certainly has the wow factor!

Mary certainly knows how to run a successful B & B. This is top notch accommodation, spotlessly clean with real attention to detail. Big en suite bedrooms with comfy beds. Big garden and big breakfasts. We stayed while visiting family and friends in Thurles and Mary made all of us (grandparents, parents and 2 grandchildren) feel very welcome. Abbeyvale certainly...

I've stayed here a few times and always receive a lovely warm welcome from Mary. Rooms are delightful - clean and comfortable. Breakfast is great, a perfect start to the day. Mary is always willing to help in any way, she was particularly kind when I visited with my elderly mother and aunt. I would happily recommend to others and...

We made a booking for Lobster Cottage in Kinsale, which is owned by Mary and her husband. She enquired into our travels and asked if we were in need of a B&B as we made our way south to Kinsale. Indeed we were, and so we ended up at Abbeyvale House in the tiny village of Holycross. Mary's warm welcome...
