A small alleyway named Quadrado 9. Enter through an ancient gate. The patio like a Shakespearean setting but real. 8 rooms competing which is the best. The two happiest chambermaids in town. A giant pool surrounded by 2000 sqm of palmtree paradise. A small bar where every guest is their own bartender. And roses everywhere. Painted, arranged, applied. That's our name.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An authentic hidden gem in the quiet back streets of Sóller. Small and friendly atmosphere with helpful staff and beautiful grounds. Gluten free food options were limited and if you're anything like me you'll bang your head on the tiny front door every time - despite being warned of the the danger! Heidi the dog is mischievous but lovely. :)

Hotel's Favourite
We cannot recommend this hotel enough, it was the 1st time me and my boyfriend had been to Mallorca and we were lucky to get the last room available. We cannot say enough great things about our stay, Harold and the team were fantastic! Great facilities, always space by the pool, lovely breakfast, lunch and cocktails and they also kindly arranged car hire for us which we could pick up and drop off round the corner from the hotel. I also had a full body massage which was perfect. Great service, friendly staff and great beach, bar and restaurant recommendations. The location was perfect as you're a couple of mins away from the main square in Soller where there are lots of restaurants, shops and bars and you also can hop on the tram to the port as well as get a train through to Palma. We'll definitely be back!

Ca’n Roses is a gem. It is such a surprise to go though that magnificent archway from the street to the yellow-trimmed court yard that gives out into the verdant gardens beyond. The staff were unfussy and friendly as they went about their business.

If you have got this far and managed to find this special hotel then BOOK! We stayed in the October half term with our 2 children (3&7) and had the most amazing holiday! The hotel is unique, previously a family home I think and that personal family feel lives on. The grounds are so pretty, beautiful gardens, pool, gym area plenty of places to lounge and relax - more than the pictures show. The doggie Heidi was a lovely addition and all the staff were great and super helpful with everything from a last minute lunch for all us, to booking and recommending restaurants and more. It is in the town and we loved strolling to the main square each evening for dinner, or on Saturday to the local market. The local port has lovely restaurants and beach and of course you have the idyllic tram to try out. We feel like we have found a hidden gem with this place and will no doubt return soon. Thank you to all the staff for a very special holiday.

One of the best hotel we've ever stayed at . Authentically Mallorcan and so unique in its history . An incredibly tranquil oasis in a favourite spot . Every corner is sympathetically styled yet we felt super relaxed at all times So many quiet corners and breakfast was wonderful . Cannot recommend this hotel enough ,

We stayed at Hotel can Roses a couple of weeks ago and sadly had a really disappointing stay. We’d really wanted to love it - it was our first holiday with our new baby, so we had dreams of it being very special - but there were so many things wrong! We’d booked a ground floor room (easy for the pram) which we noticed had a lovely big bath tub. We’d called on reserving to check about them providing a cot for the room (they said fine). We emailed a week before arriving to check again about the cot and when we received no reply we called and again they said a cot would be provided. On arriving the cot was not a safe travel cot, but a strange very old fashioned small mattress with fabric suspected around it and an old wooden frame (we were later told it was one of the owner’s cots as a child). There were gaps all around the mattress which the baby could have slipped into. We immediately asked a staff member for a different cot - he said he could see that it wasn’t suitable for a 4 month old baby but that they would struggle to find a replacement before the next day. They said they had lots of babies staying so didn’t have enough. I explained that if they had told us this we could have brought our travel cot from home on the plane - why promise something you can’t provide? In the end they brought a different travel cot out of a storage cupboard but we could understand their hesitation about giving it to us - it was filthy. Stains all over the sides and mattress. It was shocking. They said they knew it was very dirty, which was why we had been offered the other cot?! The idea that they had been using that for other babies was very weird. In the end we had to drive the whole way back to Palma to buy a travel cot - what a waste of the first day of our holiday. At this point we decided to just try and focus on the positives and have a good trip anyway - we decided this must have been a blip. But sadly no - things continued to go wrong. In the morning when we went to take our showers we discover big brown stains across two of the towels. This obviously made us concerned about the general hygiene in the hotel. Then when we went to use the bath, we found the plug was broken and water just drained from it as soon as you run it. We asked for it to be fixed and were told - bizarrely- that the bath is only ‘decorative’ and shouldn’t be used. We explained we paid for this room specifically for the nice bathtub…! there were various other slightly unfortunate things about this hotel. There is a dog who lives in the hotel but sadly she has not been well trained, so would run into our room if the doors to the terrace were open and jump on the bed, or try to eat any food left out or go through the bins. She would snap at your hand if you tried to get her off the bed. This is not a cheap hotel and this was meant to be a lovely relaxing stay for us, a treat, where we would make special memories. In the end it was a pretty stressful stay and we really regretted spending the money - we could have found something much nicer elsewhere. Some things about the hotel are nice - the pool is lovely, the breakfast is good and the staff are nice - but other than that we wouldn’t recommend staying here. You don’t get what you pay for. When we checked out we tried to discuss this with the owner and ask for some money off given we paid for a room with a cot and a bathtub and got neither a cot nor a bathtub, but all she offered was discounted parking, free lunch and to refund the cot we’d had to buy, which though something didn’t really make a dent in our sizeable bill given how expensive the room was. Her excuses were quite strange and we felt it was all pretty unprofessional, especially not having safe sleeping arrangements for children, and the odd situation with the bathtub. It was the first time either of us had ever complained about a hotel stay, and we were quite shocked at how she just brushed us off. It made us wonder if she receives complaints a lot and had become skilled as dismissing people. A disappointing experience, sadly. This is very much not a four star hotel.

Wonderful relaxing boutique stay in Soller. From early comms at booking, thru to a charming cava welcome on arrival, very personable and efficient service for the duration of our stay, beautiful and thoughtful detail throughout the hotel, fresh breakfasts, tasty bistro supper with super fresh ingredients, lush and well maintained grounds and gardens, lovely pool, gym and ping pong! All in a brilliant place to stay in Soller. Perfect location. Would highly recommend!

I had the most wonderful stay at Ca’n Roses. An incredible friendly and helpful team. Stunning art and photography (as you’d expect if you read the background) and a real sense of history. Beautifully restored with elegant touches everywhere, the facilities were high quality and the wonderfully planted and maintained gardens added to the relaxation. Just to add as well, one of the cleanest pools I have swum in. I only had breakfasts and a couple of lunches, but the food was excellent. The hotel is a very short walk down the street to the heart of Soller where you’ll find some great shops and lots to explore with superb restaurants. Highly recommend, and I’m looking forward to returning in the Spring.
