This is a two star property at best. Although the surrounding area is spectacular this hotel offers little service and no facilities. Booked 3 rooms for two nights and had to argue for an extra pillow! No wine in the "bar!" Left after 1 night and was still charged for supplementary beds for the unused night. Horrible breakfast. The best... More

Clinical operation (only interested in your money and room key) with shabby towels, horrible pillows (if you can get one!) and no air conditioning. Cash services only. Bar has no wine! Worthless breakfast. The best part was leaving a day early and still paying a supplement!

Difficult to find. Much better information required.Rooms adequate but towels poor. Breakfast very ordinary. No fresh fruit. Coffee could have been a lot better. Staff friendly but only speak spanish. No restaurant so you have to drive elsewhere for a meal which is not ideal if you've just driven 250 miles to get there.Cheaper and better hotels in the area.

Bad start at arrival. The lady at the front desk was so busy organising her paper work that, although she had seen us, she didn't give us any attention until she was finished with her work. Then we had a big fuss about the prepayment that apparently hadn't gone through. Well...we were there weren't we, so no need for guarantee... More

Very nice building and excellent located (near everywhere). Big parking space. Rooms are big. We were travelling with our two kids and we fit in one room with space enough. The rooms are very clean and the family who takes care of the business are on top of everything you need to make your stay perfect. We were only missing... More

We stopped over based upon many of the reviews. The renovation is fantastic and owners very friendly. However. Location lets it down being neither secluded (as on edge of a small housing estate) nor close to town. You can make the walk but not if with young children and / or raining, which was both for us. Also, beware of... More

We spent a couple of nights here at the end of a month's campervan trip before getting the ferry home from Santander. It was great - plenty of parking, large room and lovely bathroom and good breakfast. The owners, Jose and Maria, were very welcoming and helpful. Jose is speaking reasonable English after only a few months of lessons but... More

This hotel is very pleasant with large rooms, quite big enough for extra children's beds - we had two. Quiet and peaceful although not much to do in the immediate environment without getting in a car. Very kind and helpful staff. My only criticisms would be that the beds were quite uncomfortable, particularly for the 4 star, expensive hotel that... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The warm colours in the walls and the tapestries are a contrast to the sober stone walls of this 18th century manor house with a coat of arms. Today a pleasant, cosy rural hotel, it has recently expanded both the number of rooms and services available to guest. Fresh flowers in the rooms and, for breakfast, natural juices and country toast. The traditional, serene, classical decoration creates a calm, restful environment. ... more   less
