Loved Owl Cottage. A great base for exploring The Borders and Northumberland. Extremely well equipped, spacious house and very pet friendly. All the border towns in easy reach and lots of fascinating places to visit
Spacious cottage located on a very quiet lane, but not far from the major road to Jedburgh. 3 large rooms downstairs with a shower room, and three double bedrooms and large bathroom upstairs. Space to park off the road for two cars. Nice views of the countryside, above the hedgerows to the hills and farmland. Located about 5 miles outside the town of Jedburgh with routes to many pretty towns within 30 or 40 miles, and about 55miles to Edinburgh (1hr 30 mins roughly). Galashiels is probably best for getting the train for further travels. Owl Cottage is quite nicely decorated, just starting to show some wear and tear, but nothing too major. The hot water is hot and plentiful, heating works very well. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of pans, plates and cutlery. Owner tries hard to make you feel welcome, with a few nice touches. All in all, a nice place, good location, adequate for a family and a great place to come back to following a busy day.…
Wild Rose cottage is cosy with everything you need for a pleasant and tranquil holiday. There are local walks on the farmland with superb views. Lots to see and do in the area. The owner is close by if you have any questions.
Beautiful location and very welcoming. Both child and dog friendly. Lots to do in the area. Highly recommended. The cottage had everything you could think of and the owner, Lucy was very helpful but unobtrusive. Would definitely stay again.
Very remote location but had a lot to offer and a lot of games. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the visits to different locations but definitely need a car. It was a really nice experience. The visit to the farm was nice and was a different touch for us.
