Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just spent a weekend at Immervoulin and had a fantastic time. This is my second time here having camped previously. We had our caravan looking over the tent field facing Ardnandave Hill with its Crags. View changed all day with wisps of clouds clinging to the Crags in the morning to the changing light throughout the day - braw. The site was busy and the main toilet block was open. The toilet block is a bit dated but still offers what you need and is kept clean. Small charge for shower but do not mind this as we were cheap per night compared to the sites down the road in Callander. The village of Strathyre is a 10- 20 min walk (there is no pavement) along the busy A84 although for most of it you can walk along a footpath in the grass. Strathyre has a post office/shop and the White Stag Inn serves ales and food - great if you have dogs as they are happy to welcome them in. The other two hotels were closed. Visited the Broch Cafe (which you pass on way to village from caravan park) and enjoyed lunch in the sun. If you are walking or cycling the Rob Roy Way then this caravan park is a great stopping place with your tent (leave the trail at the Broch cafe).

We arrived to stay here for one night on a Saturday afternoon (with our dog) at the gate house and there was a man staring at us and my husband said straight away "what is he looking at" . We both felt very uncomfortable. My husband delt with checking and spoke to a helpful woman who explained were everything was and where to pitch our tent. After pitching we went a wander round. Great views and a river walk to walk the dog. As we were sitting outside our tent we seen the the sites van going round and round the estate at least 10 times in the space of am hour. I felt it very intimidating. I felt as though I couldn't relax. (Not that I was doing anything wrong) but felt as though I was constantly being watched. There is a strict curfew of 11pm and "gates will be locked: so when we went into The village for a couple of drinks we were very conscious of time. The following morning I used the showers at at 20p for a 2 minute shower is unreasonable. Water is free in Scotland. We don't pay a water charge. There are no sockets to plug in a hair dryer. I've been to better sites with better facilities and friendlier security staff. This place is a great location but I won't be rushing back. There are plenty of other sites in the surrounding area that I would chose from. I get that this is someone's home and business but they need to chill and not so much of the strict rules. Enjoy it. Enbrace it and get along with the campers.

First impressions of this campsite were very good, nice well kept grounds. There are a few walks for dogs although I thought a little restricted. Dogs HAVE to be kept on leads at all times when in campsite. It is also STRICTLY no noise after 11pm. However the toilets and showers are an absolute disgrace filthy, grubby with lots of cobwebs, midges, spiders. Showers although nice and hot, are attached to ceiling, not ideal for women also have to pay 20p per 2 minutes, which I think should be included in price as paying to be on campsite. The owner/manager has a very abrupt, rude almost aggressive manner, definitely think she needs to work on her people skills. A five minute walk by, the roadside, takes you into a lovely wee town where there are 3 bars, all dog friendly, a post office/shop which is stocks bread, milk, frozen foods, sweets, alcohol, lottery etc. Nice enough location but too many rules to be adhered to.

I called to book for one night in august after checking the webpage it stated you could stay one night and pay the £3 additional charge.
I called and spoke to Maureen- who advised she was the owner.
Her customer service was terrible and I was told you can’t stay 1 night, I advised the webpage stated you could. I was advised because it was height of season I couldn’t but the webpage specifically states July/August.
I was advised by Maureen that she was dealing with ‘covid’ - what does that even mean?
Maureen advised me that you can only stay one night to reduce the footfall so I asked if we stayed for more than one night are we not allowed to walk about.
If Maureen was that busy dealing with covid the webpage would be updated to save people’s time.

Maureen told me to come on to trip advisor and all the great reviews on customer service we’re about her. I can only see bad reviews recently. Glad we never booked here!!

Avoid! Really disappointed with this campsite after 2-weeks of travelling between various sites across Scotland. The toilet blocks, showers and washing facilities were closed (apparently due to Covid restrictions) but facilities have been open at every other site we’ve been to. This is not explained well prior to arrival, and will catch out anyone who relies on this.

If you want a friendly, welcoming and clean site, then this is not for you. We’ve just been on a 2 night stay at this site, and we will not be back. I have never felt so unwelcome in any site we have been to. The woman (Maureen) in particular was not friendly at all. And while the man did speak to us at times, he spent most of the day driving in between the caravans on his grass cutter snooping on the guests.
The site is run down in general. And the toilet block is a disgrace. I went for a shower, but when I seen how unclean the place was, I decided to just shower in my caravan.
Such a shame, because the location is absolutely fantastic. This could be a great site if it only had friendly owners who would give it a clean and maintain it properly

Nice site, friendly staff. Toilets could do with a clean up to get rid of spiders webs etc but overall fine. Take 20p for showers.
Small shop on site, near a river for fishing/paddling, lovely walks, nearby permanent caravan owners very friendly and welcoming.
The guidelines seemed pretty strict upon reading but site was laid back (we were 3 groups of friends drinking and chatting till the wee hours and had no hassle whatsoever). Site was also well maintained throughout weekend with bins being emptied regularly and grass being kept. Would definitely return.

I intentionally ignore reviews prior to visiting as I like to make up my own mind and on this occasion I am glad that I did. Maureen was lovely very open and welcoming. The site is clean and tidy and the views are outstanding. Bins are emptied throughout the day and there is a strict policy on open fires irrespective if you are burning wood on the BBQ it's still a fire so respect the rules respect the people who enforce them and respect others around you and you will get the same back, this is a great site and we will definitely be back

I can honestly say, I’ve never been treated so rudely or badly in my life. What’s more, to pay for it is unbelievable. These people need a manual on how to treat customers with respect and kindness . I’ll make sure that anybody I know never will go here .

Genuinely writing this to save people from harm or financial detriment.
I've seen people saying things like " the hills have eyes" rude woman , unwelcoming .
That aside ..... more this woman cares nothing for her guests , give her money , she will be your pal, question her on anything, she will turn on you in a flash. The shoddy electrics at this site caused a fire in my caravan and damages and expenses of 2k plus . We were treated with nothing but animosity and ignorance due to no fault of our own. As the saying goes ... " See you in court " enter at your own risk💀💀💀
