myself and two colleagues did the North Coast 500 on our motorcycles back in mid September and stayed here night of 13th September. The staff are great, the food is outstanding, the rooms are good, the showers are fantastic, best power shower for a long while. The hotel is hidden off the main road and can only be described as...

Despite having a confirmed booking, when I arrived no room was available. I was offered the use of a staff flat at a reduced rate. Nice bed with clean linen and an enveloping duvet were the highlights of my stay.

Everything was booked for miles and miles around, so we were happy to get a room at this small and what dilapidated hotel, which looked very nice on the outside. The staff (one old lady) was clearly overworked handling the reception, the bar and the restaurant at the same time. Our room was under the roof. Entrance was the bathroom...

No, not the five stars of the big cities, not the uniformed staff, not the clinical same rooms. NO. This is five star because the staff are brilliant, Effective, Jolly and on the ball. This is your unusual and interesting Highland Hotel The room I had was fine. Enter through the bathroom..well why not. It all worked and was clean...

If you feel you would like a real taste of Scotland this is your place. This old hunting lodge has retained much of it's original charm, the room we stayed in was pine panelled, it was clean but aged as you would expect from this era. The staff are excellent and made us and our dog really welcome, he was...

Stayed here 5 nights on a fishing trip. The rooms are typical of simple highlands hotels. Comfortable. Very quiet. Hotel has a lot of characters and a warm welcome. The bar has a mix of locals and guests which makes for fun. All the food was good. The price made it very good value. I will definitely stay at the...

We arrived very late and much later than expected but we were made feel welcome nevertheless. A very pleasant and homely hotel and worth a visit. It has a well stocked bar which again was welcoming. Great accommodation with comfortable and clean beds. En-suites were first class with great showers and very fresh clean towels. Breakfast was made to order...

Wouldn't stay here again. The poor girl who was working when we arrived was the only staff member on duty for check ins, the bar and the restaurant. We were a group of 8 plus all the other guests so not enough staff to handle the numbers. Food in the restaurant and breakfast was fine. The shower in our room...

This is a nice old fashioned hotel with comfortable rooms. Unfortunately it was let down by the kitchen. We had a wonderful starter of salmon and prawns with salad. As I was finishing this course I noticed a green caterpillar about 30mm long. I did not make a fuss about it, but notified the waitress who said she would tell...

This little hotel is absolutely stunning. The staff is very welcoming. The rooms are very nice with very good sleeping comfort and well equipped bath room. The cooked breakfast is of excellent quality as well. The quite surroundings of the hotel are of real natural beauty and definitely yield you a relaxing stay in Northern Scotland.
