Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the most creepy hostel I have ever slept bugs in the blankets, fungus all over the walls, windows without glasses. you will feel better sleeping in a sleeping bag outdoors than in this place. if you want to visit Bromo, the best option would be to sleep in Probolingo and take a transport early in the morning and check before the real price for the entrance fee into the park.

Stuffs speaks bad english and is only aviabel for a few hours per day. Some of the guest could not even enter their rooms because the stuff locked the main gate and was not avaiable. Rooms are very untidy, even bedsheets were not changed. We could find hairs and dirty of decades on it. The rooms are smelling muddy and the walls are mold. At the private bathrooms the showers are not working! Please search an other stay at bromo!

In the first night we were assigned to a wrong much cheaper room without - as ordered - privat bathroom. So we didn't get what we had payed for. There was no possibility to get another room, because the hotel seemed to be booked out (we were told), although we booked relatively early. - Bed sheets haven't been changed for days. Everything in the room was relatively dirty. We slept in our own sheets. - The next day they gave us the room we payed for, but now the water was not working, so we didn't have running water! There was no one of the staff available , so we even couldn't report the problem! We didn't expect much, but for a hotel or BnB this is totally unacceptable!

Jedyny plus to blisko do wulkanu.

I double pay this overpriced room. Staff didn't recognize the expedia.com email and made me pay his rate. Then they never showed up till I left and their only concern was to pick up the keys. I was also told they serve breakfast and lied to me. Bathroom lacks basics like toilet paper, basin or a mirrow. Rooms are clean but a bit run down and a strong dampness smell. Location is very good throught. Hopefully you can find a better place in CL run by decent people unlike this one!

This place is very basic, but you doesn't need more in this village. It's located very close to the Bromo mountain, so you can wake up around 3:00 o'clock and climb (by jeep or by foot) to see the sunrise.

We stayed here as part of our tour package to Mount Bromo. There are not a huge amount of places to stay in the village, although other homestays were available when we arrived. We had to walk up a few flights of stairs with our luggage, so be prepared! Toilet roll and towels aren't provided so bring some with you. Our room was a double with en suite, and we had been warned not to expect luxury. We are backpackers used to budget places, so we didn't find it too bad, but it is indeed overpriced if you book independently (around £24/night it seems). The room was small but functional, has an open grate high in the wall, so you can hear the neighbours and corridor clearly. There is a shower, but no sink so you have to brush your teeth in the shower. It was pretty clean though, but had a bad sewage smell coming from the bathroom which made the whole room smell. The staff were nice enough and Cafe Lava is 5 minutes walk away, where they serve dinner until 9pm. We were only here for about 6 hours as we left at 3am to Mount Bromo, so the room wasn't an issue for us. Just adjust your expectations so you are not disappointed!

We stayed here only for 3 hours luckily, because it was not that nice. The owner is not nice to us at all, so you do not deel welcome. It is not that clean and our supposed to be hot, but it was not. It was also very low above the ground, so we had like to sit to use the shower. Also no water, toiletpaper, or towels provided. Not to be confused with the hotel Adas which should be much better! We actually booked there, but our driver brougt us to the losmen... so that was a mistake, I advise you not to make the same!
