Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The rooms which we had gotten were very good and luxurious. The property itself is massive with an average restaurant and has many green spaces to walk around and play in . The weather is cold (10 Degrees sometimes) so bring your jackets. It is very easy to go for Mt Bromo sunrise peak from the hotel itself.

Hotel is modern and rooms are comfortable. Airconditioning is not needed since the altitude keeps the temperature pleasantly cool. The food is OK but not great which is compensated by a very pleasant staff. Just be aware that around 2-3 am the nearby road becomes quite busy with all the jeeps and motorbikes coming up the hill to bring their passengers to the sunrise spectacle at Bromo. If you want to experience this fantastic scenery, trust your local guide and get there early enough to avoid the incredible traffic jam that you will experience on the way. I was there in 1976 and we walked to the sea of sand and the ridge of the Bromo almost alone to witness the sunrise. Unforgettable. Nowadays, up to 1500 (!!!) jeeps bring every day their load of tourists. Nevertheless, the Bromo site is just out of this world.

I have been at this facility one night before going to the Bromo. The facility is very cozy, as soon as we arrived we were served delicious ginger tea, later we were offered cakes and coffee/house tea; the room was nice and surrounded by greenery; we had dinner at the hotel restaurant and ate quite well. The only note I have is about the breakfast: it was very good but there were few sweet foods and many savory dishes. I personally eat breakfast with sweets and would have appreciated a few more sweets. Otherwise, it was a nice stay!

Positive points : - Location - Good breakfast, with a pleasant terrace in the sun after climbing the Bromo. Negative points: - Absolutely no soundproofing in rooms. Our neighbors had a baby who spent the night crying and it was as if he was in our room! - No heating even though the nights are very cool. - Unpleasant smell in the bathroom - Cleanliness to be reviewed... (stains on sheets, bathroom not so good...) - Dinner a bit expensive and not very good for the price either => in conclusion, paying more than 120€ a night is extremely expensive ... besides, the staff - although pleasant all the same - don't ask if we've had a good stay, I imagine they must suspect it. If we'd known, we'd probably have gone to a "standard" hotel and I don't think it would have been any worse!

Well placed hotel to visit Bromo (really worth the early start) however, the restaurant is really not good at all, especially the fried bananas that had a weird cheesy taste. Views from our room was nice, and the surrounding gardens well-kept. However, the room was basic and the rooms are not very well isolated.

Nice location. Close to Bromo vulcano. Great breakfast. Afternoon tea with snacks included. Large room with small bathroom. Friendly staff. Room and bathroom not well cleaned, hairs in shower and on the ground. Stuff left behind in room.

My husband and I spent a night here to visit Bromo . The hotel is quite big, the location , the gardens around it and the lobby area are really nice. We were in a standard room which we found clean but with a small bathroom ( actually the washbasin was small an it was in the bedroom ). The temperature inside the room was a bit cold but not too uncomfortable ; the bed was ok but our sheets had the hem completely worn out . we arrived late afternoon , it was quite cold and we were offered tea /coffee with biscuits and cakes in a nice café of the same property next to their restaurant where we had a good dinner . After our visit to Bromo we had breakfast in the sunny terrace of the restaurant and we found breakfast excellent . The staff was always kind and helpful. Anna and Francesco from Italy

Initially hotel looked nice. However, room is quite tired and dirty. Luckily we only stayed here for one night to see Bromo. The restaurant associated with this hotel (Belanga) is absolutely awful. Ordered the special dish (honey beef with mash) and it was dire. No beef, just fat and bone. Mash was lumpy and watery with a weird cheese/off taste. We sent it back immediately. My partner then ordered pasta, thinking surely they can’t screw that up… they did. I thankfully skipped on the re-order!

Great hotel with beautiful views only stayed one night to Visit the volcano - worth the 230am Start. Bed was very hard which was downside but the room was lovely and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was good. Not recommended for anyone with any physical limitations as it’s quite hard to get around
