Nice comfortable chalet at Bass Lake. Stayed three nights and enjoyed every minute. Great food at Ducey's Bar and Grill. Snowed Christmas eve was a treat. Cabin was clean and comfortable with a great view from the balcony.

Dear Tonyvh1, We are pleased to hear the our chalet rooms were comfortable for your stay with us over the Christmas holiday. For the past 4-6 years we've been thankful to get snow on Christmas eve or Christmas day and are thrilled to hear that it snowed during your stay as well. Stayed here 30 odd years ago Loved it then and enjoyed it this time. Only negative was the resort was a bit tired and dated and could do with some upgrading. All that said it is a great location, close to Yosemite. We also had the best steak meal we have had in a long, long time in the restaurant....

Dear Mt8262, We are pleased to hear that after 30 years you have chosen to come stay again at the Pines Resort. We are currently in a huge 5 year updating/renovation project to the whole property and plan on being done by the end of 2017. I also must agree that Ducey's on the Lake restaurant has one of the...

We arrived late at night during a power cut so we're unable to check in, no problem we had an accommodation voucher and were taken to our lodge. After a 12 hour drive we were SO pleased to get there. We wanted to open a bottle of wine that we had brought with us, so started going through the kitchen...

Dear 11Beav, I apologize that the chalet you were in wasn't quiet what you were looking for. We do have some chalets that provide not only a front door entrance but a rear door bedroom entrance as well. A new chalet renovation project that has been added to this year is to redo the bathroom vanity areas in our chalets...

The property is in a beautiful location. Unfortunately, half the lake is dried out, on top of that, the drought has weaken the forrest, then the bark beatles ate the trees to death. Half of the Forrest is dead brown pine tree. This goes all the way up to ayosemite. Now the chalet. At first glance it seemed nice, with...

Dear Nnhsieh, Bass Lake water levels are lowered every winter by PG&E to provide rain and snow accumulation in the winter season to naturally fill up the lake for the summer season. We stayed in the Chalets for one evening. While the price was great (because it was in November, off season), the chalet was just OK. If you are expecting a romantic cabin in the woods...think again. - Because they are duplexes, we could hear every loud "thump, thump, thump" of the two kids in the family next to us all...

Great setting, good proximity. All the makings of a resort but without the execution. 2 level rooms in duplex "chalets" are a cute idea but are terribly outdated, and not in a charming way. No duvet cover on the comforter, blanket with holes all over it, cracked laminate counters and floor tiles. Bedroom made me claustrophobic with the king bed...
