My big family and I booked 8 of the rooms/cabins and spent 2 nights at HCL. From the time I booked our rooms, I already felt the warmth and hospitality of the staff and owners. Then when we finally met on the day of check in, Nicki was even more gracious to accommodate us checking in a tad early and... More

Stayed in Room #1, Nice place.rooms are small but clean, cozy with fire place, kitchen and shower. But room #1 is close to the main road so you can hear cars passing by and sound of heater running is really loud. If you are a light sleeper like us, get the room away from main road and bring ear plugs... More

My husband and I just stayed here for the weekend. The manager Nikki was very friendly and welcoming. When we checked in to our room the heater was running and the lights were on for us. We stayed in room #1 and the room was adorable and quaint. We already booked our next visit, we will be coming back in... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Cottage A, which is a few streets away from their main hotel area. I would highly recommend if staying in a group of 4 to rent out Cottage A & B as they are right next to each other. The cabins are the absolute cutest! There is a small kitchenette, deck, bbq, bathroom,... More

Greeted by great, welcoming people and two happy Labradors. I stayed in Cabin 6 (The Horse Cabin). Very comfortable cabin and well equipped. Full size refrigerator and a full kitchen. Wished I'd had time to enjoy the fireplace. I loved the soft, comfy bath towels. Definitely coming back with the family and the dogs.

We loved our "cabin" (number 7)!!! It was so homey, cozy and well stocked. It had a separate "living room" with a fireplace (stocked with wood!) it had a full kitchen with a stovetop, full size refrigerator and stocked with cookware and dishes. The bed was comfortable; the bedroom cozy and included a nature/white sound machine. Nice touch! The room... More

That's right, awesome service! It started the day before when Nikki, the manager called me about the closure of one of the roads leading to Big Bear - I totally forgot to look that up so I was ecstatic when she called. We met both of the owners during our stay as well - they are a great team in... More

The rooms are great, a full kitchen, comfortable bedroom and couch area. The location is perfect for trails and mountain bike rides. The owners Ken and Val couldn't be more helpful and accommodating. The showers are hot, and the beds comfortable, which I love after a day of riding. They accommodated our 12 year old Golden, and have a very... More

Nikki Moyer, the Manager, was extremely friendly and helpful. Upon arriving, she provided maps, dining and event suggestions, Evergreen dining was the best. I asked a question and her husband Chad gave us a tour of campsites! Never seen anything like this. She stated that missionaries can stay free. A great service to the world community.
