Stayed a few days ago and can't tell you what a fun little place this is, right on the beach. The Lodge just went through a HUGE upgrade and looks great. Walking distance from restaurants and 15 minutes from Hearst Castle. Overall just a great experience, amazing staff and can't wait to go back.

Unique, clean, creative and "romantic" room. (except we had two kids and a dog). :) They loved it. The pros. Great rooms. Plenty of room supplies. Did not feel like a hotel. More like a beach cottage. Great Ocean air and view from porch chair. Continental breakfast had Fresh hard boiled eggs, very good pound cakes, orange juice etc. Good... More

We originally planned a one night stay on our way to Big Sur. From the minute we arrived we fell in love. It's right opposite the beach. Rooms are cosy, quiet and clean. After a great nights sleep we booked the next night. Only possible improvement is the breakfast. Coffee, juice, cake, fruit and hard boiled eggs are what's on... More

Something so charming and different for Cambria. Decor and all the little details make all the difference. Super thoughtful touches, from the minibar to the compendium, all give off the laid back, ready to explore vibe. Not to mention the hotel is literally on the beach. Have the bottle of rose provided in your room,..... which you can drink on... More

Great place to get away. Quaint little town a short distance with some select restaurants and gift shops. Cambria Beach Lodge is perfect if you want to just chill and be beach side. The rooms are simple with a modern feel and a cozy atmosphere great choice you won't be sorry.

I brought my mom for her birthday on a last minute trio. I found the hotel on hotel tonight for 99 on a Sunday. Room was updated with a nice comfortable bed and glass shower. Only complaint was the size of the TV in the room, but you can watch TV at home. Excellent front desk service.

The first stylish boutique hotel in Cambria.. Beachy vibe w/great design and well stocked mini bar. I loved riding the complimentary Linus bikes into town and walking next door to Sea Chest for dinner. The views and location are exceptional, especially for the price. The lobby has a fireplace and is social spot for guests in the morning and evening.... More

Travel in the US is defined by the motor lodge, and this is exemplary in its presentation of California road trip culture. Cambria Beach Lodge (formally The Mariner's Inn) is newly renovated and in a beautiful location on the coast. Its a perfect stop between LA and Santa Cruz and is supported by the quaint town of Cambria. The room... More

We usually stay in the Grand Suite (now called the Beach House), once or twice a year. The new changes are horrible to say the least. It had nice rich looking floors and carpet. Gone now and replaced with cheap looking floor tile. In fact, the beautiful floor tile in the bathroom (along with the spa, tiled shower, and towel... More
