This was our second time saying here. our first time staying was about eight years ago, and we had a lovely room on the upper floor facing the ocean. We decided that we were eager to go back for my husband’s 45th birthday celebration. The upper floor was not available so we booked a lower floor ocean view room. The room was beautiful. The bed was comfy and the fireplace added a beautiful ambience to the room. The patio had a nice seating area for us to enjoy breakfast while watching the waves. Speaking of breakfast, the pastries provided from Lynn’s diner were amazing. The only issue we had with the room was there was a horrible smell coming from the shower after it had been ran. The first night we did not shower until late in the evening , and figured maybe the room had not been used in a while so the pipes just needed to be flushed out. However, returning to the room the next evening and showering, we noticed the smell was still there after the water had been run. The smell was that of sewer and started to fill the rest of the room with the stench. It was too late in the evening to call and complain so we just shut the door to the bathroom and open the sliding patio door to air it out. We did report it to the girl at the front desk upon check out the next day. She did advise us that she would send the complaint up to management . Hopefully the smell has been fixed for people staying there going forward. .

The room was pretty large the bathroom large shower was ok bathtub was small but I’m tall so no biggy weird vibe for some reason I guess total lack of charm the view was of the parking lot and cars the ocean is across the street which is super awesome nice path to walk too didn’t even want to try the continental breakfast I figured it was bad by my quick glance the worst part was the room number 110 in late November a cool evening was as hot as a Louisiana swamp in July we used three fans and had the windows open it stayed swamp hot all night until early morning no ac and no the heat was off the clerk checked and said it’s because of daytime sun it’s so hot huh? So we couldn’t use the fireplace which is why I booked the room soooo 160 dollars for a swampy hot stifling room and view of cars. Whooopie do. Should’ve stayed at Squib House like we usually do. Blah.

A very average inn on Moonstone beach. Definitely hyped up online and didn’t live up to all the great reviews. Maybe our experience was a one-off but we won’t be back. Pros: -The view. We booked an ocean front room with 2 queens, and the view is spectacular. -Bedding and linens were nice. Reminded me of Westin bedding. Very cozy. -Bed was comfortable -Spacious room for this size inn -Fireplace seemed nice, didn’t use it. Cons: -ANTS. During check-in, the front desk staff told me they have ants due to the ongoing drought. I even initialed on a waiver stating I won’t leave food in my room. Well they were all over the bathroom. Spent 10 mins wiping them up after we got into our room. -Waiver—had to sign my life away (maybe, didn’t read it fully) while checking in. I know I had to sign something saying I’ll be quiet after 10pm, acknowledge the ants, and promise not to ruin their new flooring. Weird. -Noise. Being on the first floor was loud. We could hear our upstairs neighbors walking around. -TV. The remote is almost laughable as it looks like a toy. And was not user friendly. Almost called the front desk to ask how to use it. That was a first.

This is a very nice inn. We just returned from a 5-day trip to So Cal and this was one of our favorite places to stay. The location is exceptional, right across from the beach. The room was large and well-appointed. There's also a pool, spa and nice dining area where they serve an amazing continental breakfast with excellent pastries from a local bakery. Our room had a large table and a lounge chair next to the gas fireplace. The bathroom is similarly large with an excellent shower. With all of this splendor, I was surprised that the in room coffee came with powdered creamer, but that's literally the only complaint I can make. We would definitely stay there again if we find ourselves near Cambria. By the way, the spectacular Fiscalini Ranch is only a short drive away. Don't miss it!

We came away from the San Francisco Hyatt disappointed. Did the pandemic destroy them or did they take advantage of the ball? The fact is that they provide THE MINIMUM. We arrived at Lis Angeles "at a stop" and everything turned out to be better! The restaurant next door, a luxury. Ta in the room, we arrived at 11 pm, and the late check-in service was impeccable! The room, sheets etc dreamed of!!! They provide for bath/shower much more than the Hyatt. The MINI hair dryer is worth 20 from a five-star hotel! I fully recommend and would return 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

First to the good part. Our room was spacious and clean. We had a great view of the ocean. Not one of the 10 rooms that face the ocean but good enough. The staff in the office was professional and courtesy. The continental breakfast was good enough. This hotel has been here for many years and is not set up like your big name hotels are, so don’t expect your average breakfast. Okay so now the not so good. The jacuzzi hours. We have been to many hotels and this hotel jacuzzi’s hours end at 9;00pm. Come on guys…you can do better. From what I can tell, most of your guests were over 50. When I travel, I enjoy time spent in the jacuzzi. My husband and I were in the jacuzzi and staff told us the jacuzzi closed at 9pm. I mean really?! I was so looking forward to unwind and star gaze but was told we needed to get out. I mean we’re in our mid 50’s, do they really actually think we’re going to be loud and wake other guests? Laughable. So, probably not returning to this hotel. You all really should reconsider jacuzzi hours. 9pm is just not good enough. 10pm is more reasonable,

Will be leaving in the morning after having spent five nights in Room 101. Housekeeping was excellent. Pillows suck; we should have brought our own. My neck is killing me. This is a motel, meaning room doors open to the outside. Watching some of the people who walked into the parking lot, I wished our door had a swing bar on it -- a suggestion I made in my last review. The rooms also need a lighted makeup mirror and a safe. Having stayed here a couple of times, we knew we'd find one luggage rack. With two suitcases, we decided to bring our luggage rack from home with us. What a pleasant surprise to find that there were two luggage racks in our closet! They have upgraded their breakfast option. I noticed that, instead of pre-packaged store-bought muffins, they now have a selection of muffins from Linn's Restaurant & Bakery. That's definitely an improvement. The room needs maintenance: touch up paint is needed through-out and there are big cracks in the bathroom floor. Mary, about whom I've raved in past reviews, has passed; therefore, I didn't get the warm welcome that I've come to expect from Mary. But, that's life: no one gets out alive.

We stayed at Moonstone Landing for 2 nights. Our room was spacious, very clean, comfortable and quiet. Like the 8-10 other hotel/motels on this street, it is directly across from the beach and walking path. The front desk manager was just leaving for lunch when we arrived at noon and informed us in a very curt manner that under no circumstances could we check in before 3:00 (we didn't even ask to do so). The "breakfast" was a complete disappointment and consisted of only yogurt, granola bars and packaged muffins plus coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The room, shared with the front desk, is tiny but there is an adjacent, nice patio with 3 tables. We might stay here again or possible try one of the other accommodations next time.

Great location across from the beautiful Pacific. The rooms are stuck in the 80’s. Did appreciate the fireplace. TV was so dated the remote barely worked and the guide wasn’t functional. Conveniently located next to Sea Chest restaurant!
