This is a very traditional, attractive ryukan in this sweet little town. It is well located in the middle of the town and a very handy stopover if walking the Nagasendo trail. Our room was of course traditional Japanese style with tatami mats and futon...More

Can I rate 6 stars instead of 5? Beautiful traditional Japanese inn in a picturesque, historic town. Staff was attentive and gracious (most also fluent in English), rooms were impeccable, and the food...!!! But first things first. Upon arrival, we were greeted with smiles and...More

I’m sure the chef makes vegetarian meals, If not the soup and rice dishes are delicious. In town you can only buy snacks and ice cream. I saw 3 or 4 toilets for women, but there might be more. Kindly Eva
