I just needed a decent, inexpensive place to sleep overnight in Krabi town to catch my flight out the next morning, and The Nice Hotel caught my attention when I checked out different hotels available through Agoda.com. So I decided to try it out and was delighted that it lived up to its name of being quite nice and clean, with a very comfortable bed as well as a spacious bedroom and bathroom with a good shower. The basic bedroom and bathroom amenities were all provided adequately. The price I got through Agoda.com for the room night was quite decent at around US$20 before tax. The hotel location is also quite convenient, just a short walk from the markets, restaurants, and shopping mall in the town centre. The 7-eleven is just right next door in case one needed to buy some snacks anytime.
The only thing that wasn't so nice was some tiny albeit harmless ants appearing from nowhere and crawling around the bedroom table and the bathroom sink. But that hardly bugged me!
Otherwise, I slept nicely as there was hardly any noise from the cars on the street where my room was facing. It turned quite quiet after 10 pm even though it was a Friday night.
The staff were also quite nice and friendly, and explained where I could go find some restaurants for dinner or go to the lively night market. The next morning, the receptionist also helped arranged my transport to Krabi airport. The car came within 15 minutes of booking and the ride from the hotel to airport took just another 20 minutes.

Slightly away from the centre of Krabi town centre, is Pak Nam, which is where you will find the Nice Hotel. Only a 10 minute walk from the night market, and when you are in Thailand, the first thing you need to know is the location of the town’s night market, this is where generally speaking you should eat. I don’t care if you have a high end budget, the night market is where the best food is to be found.
The ‘Nice Hotel’ couldn’t really be better named, unless they called it the ‘Very Nice Hotel’, it is new, spotlessly clean, has an elevator, massive super king sized beds, shower enclosure, balcony, efficient air conditioning, extremely helpful staff, in fact I couldn’t find anything to criticise.
We stayed here for three night when we first arrived in Krabi, we had a hire car, so it was a good base for exploring the local area, then we stayed for a further night just prior to flying back to England. The cost per room per night was 900 baht approx. £21-£22, now compared to lots, and there are lots of other hotels in Krabi, it is excellent value for money.
The front desk staff will arrange transport to Krabi airport if that’s where you are leaving from, we paid 400 baht for the taxi service.
Top tip. Book a deluxe room and you will get a view from the front of the hotel. The rear view rooms have a rather grim aspect over the roof tops of the houses behind.

Lives up too its name. Decent hotel, has all the basic amenities, nice size room unfortunately no restaurant though but there is somewhat of a mall nearby. Very warm and friendly staff, went out of their way to assist where possible.

I had a reservation at this past March. My flight ended up getting canceled due to technical difficulties with the plane and I did not make my connecting flight to Krabi via. Bangkok. I immediately phoned the property to advise them of the situation. I was given the impression that I would not be charged for the night as I was simply incapable of being in Krabi that evening. Several days later I noted that I had been charged for the full amount for one night's stay at the hotel. I notified booking.com who advised me that there was nothing they could do as this was a matter of booking "policy".

I find it to be completely unconscionable that I was charged for a night that I didn't spend at the hotel, particularly given that I could not attend (which was of no fault of my own) and that I took every reasonable step to notify the hotel. This is undoubtedly customer service at its very worst.

My two friends and I have been traveling for nearly a month and were running on fumes!
In our traveler's haze, we made a mistake and book the wrong day at the River Front Hotel in Krabi Town. Upon arriving at the River Front Hotel, they told us we had booked for the 28th, not the 27th. Considering they were fully booked, we thought we'd be told "too bad." That wasn't the case! One of the staff members hopped on the phone, called their affiliate hotel, The Nice Hotel, and found a room for us! Then they drove us over!!! What service!!!

The hotel was immaculately clean and better yet it was a short walk to the night market. I would highly recommend to stay at either the Nice Hotel or The River Front. Since they are owned by the same owner, they both have the same great service, amenities, and warm charm.

Thank you Nice Hotel and River Front!!

I am writing this review to make a big complaint on the receptionist by the name of POM. You can easily spot her out as she is the most sulky one among the rest. She is the most unhelpful lot of all and is not suitable to work as a frontline staff greeting people.

I asked her to help book an airport shuttle bus/van and she immediately shot down my request by telling me that I need to book on my own as she don't do that. If i want to book her over expensive bus at THB400 then only she will do. Only when a male staff there told her off by saying so that she reluctantly agreed.

Should this not be part of a hotel services???

The other receptionist there are all helpful except this one. However this POM can easily change her devil look when dealing with non-Asian tourist.

To the owner of NICE HOTEL...please change this POM away from reception. The housekeeping staff are more sweet and accommodating on their approach.

I was in 302 on 11 Nov.

The hotel is nice BUT to have someone like this at the reception desk, people will start label you from Nice Hotel to Horrible Hotel

The hotel seems to be new. Looks like an apartment building converted to a hotel. Very clean. Nice interiors. Very helpful staff. Warm welcome and easy check-in. Right opposite to the town market. Located in a very calm area yet has easy accessibility to the local transport and the ferry point as well. The front desk was very kind and helpful. A special mention should go to Nan. They themselves can arrange for tuk-tuk, taxis, island trips and they are reasonably priced too. I liked town view from the balcony. A very nice hotel and I highly recommend it.

This hotel is in a great location in Krabi Town. They offer in house tuk tuk and taxi options for guests which is a nice convenience. The staff is nice and the hotel is very clean. My only complaint would be that the showers are silly in that they do not have a door so the bathroom floor gets wet when you shower since the floor is not designed for the shower to drain quick enough. Otherwise the hotel is perfectly nice and comfortable.

Positives
- new rooms. Very big. Clean. We were in a room on level 1 but it was separated from the lobby and it was very quiet. No noise from guests at all
- great location. 10 min to night market and 2 mins walk to the krabi market
- comfortable beds and WiFi was good
- staff were nice and helpful
- if using a tuk tuk to the port when catching a ferry take the driver up on his offer of helping you book tickets. It's 50 baht cheaper than at the port (400 baht from tuk tuk guy). But don't buy return for phi phi as it's even cheaper in phi phi (we got the ticket from phi phi to krabi for 300 baht)
- Rooms look like photos shown on the internet

Negatives
- very poor water pressure in the shower
- a bit of a smell from the drains but closed the bathroom door so it wasn't too bad. We also had this in our other Krabi hotel so maybe it was due to the area.
- bathroom has a wall of frosted glass which was quite see through so make sure you know the person you are sharing with really well as you'll see everything they're doing!

I booked one night before I flew home coming from Ko Lanta.
The room was very spacious and had a seating bench next to the window which I liked. The bathroom was large and had a good shower. The reception was very friendly but did not speak English very well. Room was clean and had a large bed (good mattress!).
The electricity went out the day of check out, but since they were drilling in the next building I did not bother to check with the front desk. If this was planned they could have notified me. I did not had breakfast on the premises.
