I have always believed that any hotel is only as good as the people that work there. At the Seabass hotel, the staff are very friendly and very efficient and are always ready to help. We had stayed for one night last year so we're aware of the facilities so had no hesitation in booking again. We needed,on this occasion, an hotel reasonably close to Krabi hospital where we were caring for a sick relative and the Seabass hotel is about 800m from the hospital.
Car parking is provided immediately in front of the hotel and there is a spacious reception area (snacks and toiletries can be purchased here). Check in is quick and handled very professionally by the friendly staff. The room was more than adequate for our needs and was clean and had an extremely comfortable bed! Essential toiletries are provided in the bathroom with sufficient towels. The hair drier is also in the bathroom.
The room has an umbrella for use by guests and there are limited tea/coffee making supplies along with two free bottles of water per day. There is a mini fridge for guests use. Some rooms look out over the pool area which looked very inviting with a number of sun loungers.
Breakfast was included in our booking and the dining room is immediately be the pool with some tables outside. Breakfast was very good indeed with a choice of some "western" dishes and some excellent Thai foods, fresh fruit, omelette station and various breads.
If you want to be near the beaches at Ao Nang or Nopperatthara, then the Seabass probably wouldn't be suitable but the hotel is situated on a quiet side streetjust across the main road from the river and close to where various boat trips can be arranged.
Highly recommended.

We had stayed at the Sea Bass hotel on a number of occasions pre Covid and had always been very satisfied. We were in the area and needed to stay one night so didn’t hesitate in booking a room here.
It’s not expensive and any booking can be on a bed only basis or bed and breakfast. It’s a clean, modern hotel with a very tempting swimming pool between the two accommodation areas.
There is a car park immediately in front of the hotel although I’m unsure where you would park should the car park be full. There’s is also ramped access to the hotel, something you don’t always find in hotels in Thailand. On the ground floor is the restaurant which overlooks the pool area.
The bedrooms are simply furnished but contain everything you might need for a short stay…fridge, tea coffee making facilities including two complimentary bottles of water per day, hairdryer and the usual bathroom toiletries. There is also an extremely comfortable bed! Within the accommodation areas, access is by lift.
The biggest disappointment was breakfast. On previous occasions when we have stayed there, breakfast was a very good buffet comprising both Thai and “western” foods. Due to, I presume, a lack of guests, breakfast was described as a la carte and we had to choose the night before. Unfortunately, my order was forgotten and when it arrived most items of the English breakfast were cold. I don’t really think there was any excuse for this given we were the only guests having breakfast at that particular time.
Check in and checkout were conducted efficiently and quickly by friendly staff.
This hotel is perfect for a short stay and we would certainly book there in the future hoping that breakfast was back to the standard of a few years ago.

This is a beautiful hotel close to shops, restaurants and tourist attractions but in a very quiet area. we stayed here for 5 days and loved our room with pool access. The staff were incredibly helpful and we really enjoyed our stay. The onsite restaurant has plenty of options and the food was delicious and of a high standard yet prices were very reasonable. We will definitely stay here again.

I can honestly say that this has been one of the best hotel stays across all stars that I have had. The hotel is on the edge of town, minutes walk from night markets, restaurants and shops. The hotel is as the name suggests, themed, lots of nautical colors, fish sculptures, scale designs. The communal areas are great to sit, relax and read a book or catch up on some work. The rooms themselves are very well appointed, clean, well-furnished, stylish. Balconies are small, no furniture. The pool and pool areas are nice, compact (the online pics make it look bigger), but when the hotel was full, we enjoyed the area, as it was not very busy. Krabi town seems to be a transit town where people fly into and either stay a night or two and visit the islands by boat during the day or move on to Ao Nang.

The management should be proud of the staff, I have spent the best part of 4 decades travelling the world on business and pleasure and have never known such lovely, professional and helpful staff. The cleaners are just a delight also.

Breakfast was enjoyable but not hot enough for me. The restaurant is open until 5pm and the food is very good, excellent offering, small menu.

On our first night we had an issue with the A/C and was given an electric fan which was fine, then promptly moved as soon as a room became available.

Will we be back? Yes, definitely

When people say they are going to Krabi, 99% of them really mean Ao Nang, the entertainment/tourist/sea end of the town, which is a pity because they don’t know what they’re missing. This hotel basically boarders the river, and is within easy walking distance of a couple of very good night markets, a brilliant Indian restaurant and a small dive near the ferry area that does the best English breakfast this side of Stepney.

The hotel itself is not large, but has all the bells and whistles; a good attractive pool, clean, light and airy rooms, plenty of parking and a small dining area with limited but surprisingly good dishes - try the Massaman with fried roti.

The staff are - as tends to be typical in Thai hotels - of excellent standard and, as it is not in the tourist belt, comes at a reasonable rate. What more can be said? We are already planning a long weekend in July..

Very much like a city hotel. Breakfast is served in main lounge area both inside plus tables outside by pool. Breakfast catered for European and Asian and there was a varied choice.
We didn't swim in pool but it looked fine and clean, between the two hotel buildings and therefore didn't get sun all day. It's not a resort hotel so not designed with sunbeds or room to sit around the pool, mainly for a refreshing swim after a days sightseeing.
The rooms were clean and nicely decorated as was the bathroom. They weren't huge but perfectly adequate with hanging space and long desk, counter to put things.
Staff were pleasant and attentive always saying hello. We were extremely grateful to the girl on reception the day my husband lost his camera. They kindly allowed us to watch the CCTV to establish when he last had it and then called the coffee shop and emerald pool to see if it was there. It was at the Emerald Pool and we are so grateful to her for all her help.
It was a short walk into the main part of Krabi on a quiet road.
I'd happily stay here again.

Krabi seabass is a decent place to stay in krabi town. It is located a few minuts walk from the main road in Krabi town, with lots of local restaurants and shops available.
We had the pool access duplex, which was nice because out little «porch» had sun in from early on in the day. The pool area is orherwise sun-less until later in the day.
The pool has opening hours from 8 am to 8 pm, but this was not something some guests cared about. The staff didn’t seem to care either as they saw it and did nothing. Why have those opening hours then?

Breakfast was abit boring, but they do serve thai dishes that taste nice, as well as cook omelettes on your demand.
Nice and polite staff.

This hotel is in the city near riverbank ,2 buildings , each with 5 storeys and swimming pool in between on ground floor.it's quiet, good place for staying overnight and walking in tge evening to night market or to the Chaofah public park on the riverbank. Room space is about 20 sq.m. , equipped with all needed facilites, including electric kettle, small fridge, hair dryer, bar for hanging clothings. Balcony with view of city and also pool.

At first glance, it looks like a nice place. But there are a few issues, though not too serious. It's newish, so it looks clean and nice. There is a small swimming pool and dining area that serves only breakfast. The duplex suite is an interesting concept but unfortunately it fails. It has 2 floors but the design is poor and not integrated. The fridge, kettle & water are downstairs but the only wash basin is upstairs. There is no toilet downstairs, making downstairs quite useless, though direct access to the pool is downstairs. You find yourself climbing up and down continually. The bed is quite comfortable, though too soft. Lighting is very good, though, and so is the supply of power sockets. The bathroom has some mold. The sink has a drainage problem. Staff are functional for the most part. Breakfast is the worst aspect in terms of taste. Skip it, or just take the toast, if you need free breakfast. The hotel sees Western tourists on weekdays and Thai families on weekends. The Thai families invariably cause havoc at the swimming pool, so beware of the noise on weekends.

The hotel looks exactly like the pictures; fresh, modern, beautifully designed, clean, everything works.
Its a boutique, family run hotel with around 30 rooms so everyone gets to know you and cares about your experience at the hotel, and on your holiday.
We arrived with a problem - the lock on one of our suitcases had jammed so the code would not open it - reception took this in their stride, shout out to Pee who sawed through the lock (without damaging the case) then carried it to the room - he was fabulous the whole holiday.
We were lucky enough to meet Bua, her beautiful mother runs the hotel and restaurant (try the cakes, they are amazing!), who could not have been more friendly or helpful. We left feeling like we had not just made friends but had new family members. I cannot recommend this hotel strongly enough. We'll definitely be returning.

Van to/from airport is 600 baht, should fit 6 but luggage area isn't huge. Don't forget to tip, 100 baht fair, cuz he will literally load all your luggage from the front steps of the hotel if not from the front desk.
