It was so nice. Staff was excellent and the rooms are gorgeous. The weather was great and it couldn't of been more perfect. I had never stayed at a B&B but this pretty much set the bar very high. Way better then a cheap motel. Spend the extra $ and live it up for once. We will definitely be coming...

Perfect place for a weekend get away, quiet area, close to Capitola Village for a quick dinner lunch etc... Staff were friendly parking was not an issue and the grounds are beautiful. We had the Lilac Room with ocean view, the room was cozy and perfect!

Location of the property could not be nicer. It is set on a hillside cliff overlooking the Monterey Bay. The view is outstanding. Unfortunately, the interior of the property has not been well-kept. We experienced three different rooms. The ocean mist, Ocean view, and the Victorian room. The ocean mist was the nicest room with a full window facing the...

The ocean mist room had great views and had a private feel. The artwork had an archaic vibe along with the curtains in the main room. It was fun to explore the neighborhoods around to see some fun yard art.

I took my parents on a weekend getaway for my mom's birthday on New year's eve. My dad and I spent about 5 hours looking online for a place to stay but as you can imagine, almost everywhere we found were booked. Then I happened to find Monarch Cove Inn. It was exactly the type of place we were looking...

We loved the location of this inn. It's in a quiet residential neighborhood a short walk from Capitola village, making it easy to pop down for lunch, coffee, or happy hour. In fact, the walk, along a cliffside pedestrian path, was even better than the destination. We loved experiencing the view it at all times of day: morning, sunset, and...

Monarch Cove Inn is totally charming! The views are amazing. The rooms are great. And all of the different employees we met were very helpful. We stayed in the Victorian Room which was beautifully decorated. And had a great view of the Bay. Plus a super comfortable bed. The continental breakfast consisted of 3 pastries, 2 yogurts, 2 fruit cups,...

We stayed in the ocean view room, and the views were spectacular. The room was large, well set up, and clean. We enjoyed walking the resort like grounds, with lovely gardens, and Eucalyptus trees. It was only a 4 block walk to Capitola village, along the cliff with ocean views all the way to Pacific Grove on one side, and...

Perched in a quiet location, this beautifully maintained historic property has views to the ocean and its own Eucalyptus Grove where some Monarch Butterflies winter. It is within walking distance of Capitola shops and restaurants. The knowledgeable and friendly staff make the stay even better with breakfast delivered to your room each morning. I recommend waking early enough to see...
