Wonderful location. The Cypress Inn is an immaculate and beautiful hotel with an outstanding staff. A bonus is that it is dog friendly. Terry's lounge is really good and the breakfast is top notch. They treated our dogs like they were their own. We will return.

The old fashioned service and atmosphere is a refreshing change from the modern hotel. The staff is wonderful and the nostalgia very enjoyable. And the dog friendly policy made it feel like a real home.

Our recent visit to Cypress Inn was absolutely delightful! We are now planning our next trip to Carmel-by-the-Sea and will most definitely stay at Cypress Inn! Honestly, the "Popovers" are worth the trip! :-)

If you are looking a bit of mis twentieth century California charm in Carmel you can't beat the Cypress Inn. The sitting areas and bar are literally made me feel like a fedora wearing producer in a bungalow. The rooms are small but well appointed. There was no tub in my room but there was an excellent shower. I had...

We had a great experience at cypress. Room was very nice and spacious. Room service was fast and friendly. We had room 120 which was spacious and pretty quiet part of hotel. Breakfast was great with good variety to choose.

The Cypress Inn at Christmas time is just beautiful, layered in garlands and a big fire in the lounge. Guests with their kids ... I mean dogs :) It's a scene. The lounge singer and pianist performed seasonal tunes and we sat in comfy chairs by the fire in the evening. There is a decent wine selection, and some people...

We have stayed at the Cypress Inn many times and love its comforts: loyal, longtime staff; consistently fresh and delicious food in Terry's; cozy lounge with entertainment Thursdays–Sundays; great location in walking distance of the beach, wine tasting, shops, etc.; private upstairs patio; lovely courtyard; interesting guests with even more interesting dogs (!) and many other perks. Submit to its...

You'd better love dogs....more of them than humans! You'll love the living room and the fireplace in the evening. Live music on the weekends. The location is fabulous. You can walk everywhere. Make sure you make a reservation for Teri's Lounge. Always busy and hard to get into if you don't

Where to begin ... there's not enough parking for all hotel guests. If you aren't one of the first 9 cars to arrive you're left to street park, which means you have to move your car every 2 hours. The restaurant lost our reservation for dinner one night and our room service order the next. The manager offered to buy...

Do not stay in a room adjacent to the courtyard. The noise externally from the drinking, talking and music is loud and goes on late. The noise internally from the bar where the doors are not closed is constant. In short this is a dated experience with intolerable noise and not to be recommended if you want peace and quiet.
