We really enjoyed our stay at Brittany Gites. Our son loved feeding the animals and spent hours in the pool. The Gites are spotless, really well equipped and very comfortable. Caroline did everything to ensure we had a wonderful stay!

We booked Fraise cottage for a weeks break with our daughter ,son in law and 2 grandchildren aged 4 and 18 months .COVID disrupted our original dates in 2021 but Caroline was very proactive in suggesting that we move our existing booking to this year at the same rate .What a lovely place to bring small children! The play barn and associated equipment was a huge hit , the various animals ,goats ,donkeys ,ducks chickens etc.were a source of entertainment alone for the youngest grandson ,and that is before he became obsessed with seeing the peacock and the huge koi in the large central pond . The location is excellent just a few Km from Dinan , likewise from 2 large supermarkets , and only slightly further to a lake with beach , play area and snack bar ,and yet rural enough to feel calm and quiet ( as long as the peacock isn’t looking for a mate!) The gite was perfect for our needs with all facilities in good order , and the washing machines were a much needed help with 2 children who were running around all day getting nice and grubby ! The swimming pool was a wonderful facility ,lovely and warm and the booking system worked really well .The final cherry on the cake was the tractor ride arranged by Caroline for our tractor mad eldest grandson ! Memories like this are what makes holidays special . We would have no hesitation in re -visiting or recommending these gites to anyone ,5 stars !…

This was our second time staying here and loved it just as much as the first time. Highly recommend for families with children as there is so much for them to do on site, with a lovely play area, swimming pool and also animals which they can feed each morning. We have stayed in both Poire and Abricot gites and the accommodation has been perfect on both occasions. The host is extremely friendly and upon ordering brings you fresh croissants each morning for breakfast, such a treat. We found the area to be in a good location to travel to beaches, aquarium, St Malo, Dinan and Dinard for days out. Supermarkets close by too for provisions. Will definitely be returning!

This was our third stay at La Lohuas and it was wonderful to be back. It's a beautiful peaceful setting, lovely gite and my daughters (4 and 8) loved being able to play, feed the chickens and swim every day. We love Dinan and the local area too - we cycle a lot as a family - and the host Caroline is always happy to help with recommendations, directions etc.

5 of us (3 generations) stayed in Cerise for a week in May. We were lucky with the weather so spent most of the time out and about in this lovely area. You really don't have to travel far for everything. My Grandson (very 3) was in his element and exhausted by the end of the day as there was so much for him to do. It really is the fresh air lifestyle and the swimming pool is a lovely bonus. The gite was clean and well maintained and it really was a lovely holiday only made possible by all the work Caroline obviously puts into the gites and to make guests feel so welcome. Do visit, you won't be disappointed.

My husband and I stayed at the Gites du Vaugarny from 27th June to 10th July this year, a holiday that was planned two years ago and finally happened. This was to stay near family in St Etienne en Cogles. We chose the 2 double bedroom gite 'La Boulangerie, there are two others available, one with one double bedroom and one with six. La Boulangerie was excellent. It had been updated with all modern facilities but retained a lot of the original character as well. The kitchen was fully equipped.An excellent shower and bathroom, and very comfortable beds. Sitting room and dining area both nicely decorated. Lastly I should mention the garden with an area for a barbecue. We are hoping to come back sometime.

We had a very enjoyable week at La Lohuas this July. Caroline was a welcoming host and we were very grateful to her for accommodating us in this slot after our previous booking for May had to be cancelled because of travel restrictions. The arrival meal was very welcome after travelling all day from the UK, and we were very glad to be able to have some of Caroline's delicious home cooked meals later in the week. We were also able to organise a food delivery from a local farm shop which in the end lasted us for the whole of the week. The on-site heated covered swimming pool was a real hit with our children - we used it every day we were there. Our children very much enjoyed the play equipment which is on site, in particular the trampoline, swings, slide and the basketball hoop, as well as the hens, ducks, geese and donkey on site. There was a lot to do on site so we didn't feel the need to travel far, but we had a very enjoyable amble round the lake at Evran a couple of miles down the road, and managed to get to the beach at St. Jacut de la Mer, which is a half hour drive away. Overall it was a lovely week and we would recommend it to others looking for a relaxing holiday with small children. …

Everything was perfect! Caroline is an amazing host. She has tought about everything to make our family feel welcome: the kitchen was full with all we needed to cook during our stay, she even provides a welcome pack with croissants, baguette and wine! There are so many things to do for the kids on the property in addition to the very comfortable heated pool. The location is also great to explore the region. We will definitely try to go back.

We spent a glorious ten days at La Lohuas in July 2020. Our gite, Cerise, was in a gorgeous setting and the outdoor space was fantastic for our 21 month old. From feeding the animals and bouncing around on the trampoline to swings, slides, sandpits, and more- our little one was kept fully entertained throughout! The heated pool was another bonus. The site is brilliantly located in the bucolic Brittany countryside yet within 5 miles of the beautiful town of Dinan, and a 40 minute drive to various gorgeous coastal towns such as St Malo or Dinard, as well as more remote beaches too. The gites themselves were clean and very child-friendly with travel cots, black out blinds, stair gates, children’s books etc. Toys were available too. Caroline provides freshly made, home cooked meals upon arrival as well as a daily delivery of fresh patisserie from the local Boulangerie, all of which are very welcome touches making life that little bit more relaxing! There is also a gourmet 3-course meal available to purchase should one wish, in addition to barbecues to use on the terraces. Furthermore, the terraces are all located at the front of the gites which makes the setting particularly predisposed towards encouraging interaction between families, and certainly facilitated our little girl getting to know many of the other children staying at La Lohuas. Where to start? After lockdown, we were searching for a place to go, to escape, for a change of scenery- we found it here in the “Poire” gîte. Even before we arrived, we were pleased with what was included, what you already had prepared for you, what other places charge extra for! There was a friendly welcome in Caroline and her family. The gîte was very clean and comfortable. We paid to have a meal prepared for our arrival and I’d highly recommend this - it took away the stress after our journey and besides Caroline is a great chef! It also meant that we could arrive and not have to do any supermarket shopping until the next day! The heated, covered pool was bliss after not being able to swim for such a long time. You could reserve it for yourself for one hour which worked well. We also enjoyed our time playing in the huge, secure play area, on the outdoor trampoline, swings, sandpit, table tennis, in the Wendy house, helping to feed the animals daily; we enjoyed days out to many places (including Dinan, Combourg, Dinard, St Malo, Mont St Michel). These were all within easy reach in the car. So I mentioned the little things; the tea lights on the outdoor furniture being replaced, the stair gate already in place, the little step to make our daughter just that little bit taller! The picnic stuff and cool box which are already in your gîte for you to use. All the tea, coffee, spices and sauces in the cupboard. The free access to washing machines and with probably the best view I’ve ever had from a washing line! Lots of places say that they are “family friendly” when actually they’re not - but this isn’t true here. Caroline seems to have thought of everything to aid any trip with babies/children.
