Fjordbris Hotell

Traveller (12)
Room & Suite (1)
The hotel has 6 hotel rooms and 8 large apartments. The apartments can also be used as hotel rooms. 3 of the rooms have a mezzanine floor with more sleeping arrangements. Totally the hotel can offer 66 beds in double rooms. Counting the beds on the mezzanines, the hotel can offer 70 beds. Fjordbris Hotel is situated in the inner dock of osthusvik. A beautiful harbour with a large floating pier is nearby. The hotel has 50 m of dock on shore and two floating docks available for guests arriving by boat. The heart of the establishment are the old buildings from the 1920’s, which was at that time a grocery store. These buildings have been restored and are now unique and beautiful conference, meeting and banqueting facilities. osthusvik is situated in Rennesoy facing Ryfylke. Geographically it is placed in the middle of the exotic and beautiful nature of Ryfylke, with plenty of possibilities for exploring at sea. This is a good fishing area. The eastern part of Rennesoy has high mountain peaks and several higher tops to hike. You find several marked nature trails in the area. It is a unique and special experience to hike in these parts of the island where the view is stunning – looking down at a fantastic fjord landscape speckled with little islands everywhere.

This litle cosy hotel is situated on a beautiful place outside Stavanger. The rooms, or actually flats, are large. The staff are proud of their place, and it shows on the level of service. Very good food.

Firstly, we were distressed to discover that no dinner was available at all despite booking "hotel" room and reading of good meals, especially after our long journey. We were put in to an apartment (we were the only guests) so told to cook our own! We learnt that the only shop

This was not good but I miss some information and I really have to make some comments to this. These guests had booked a hotelroom for one night at the countryside in Norway a Saturday in April and arrived in the evening without any contact up front. This is two mounth before the tourist season and we told them there were no group arrangement this evening so the restaurant was not running. This situations is clearly explained at our website and I of course I can see we may be more clear about this at Booking.com. They were wished welcome to an upgrade to a very nice and modern apartment (70 m2) from the "ordinary" hotelrom they had booket. Unfortunately they arrived after the local shop across the street were closed. Therefore we drove in front of them to the next village (5 km) and show them an open grocery shop - plus a just started kebabshop which they choose to try. We also - of course, told them that the alternative at this time was to drive in to Stavanger city (max. 30 min). Later when they were back in the apartment I visited them to check the situation and brought them a bottle of red wine (as a gift in addition to the upgrade). If they had told me they were cold I could restarted the gas fireplace. This modern apartment have a radiator with heated water as the main heater. The gas fireplaced are normally closed from Easter to October. They had our phonenr and had occasion to call us during the evening if there were problems with the temperature. I am also sorry about "the risky lamp" over the bed. Of course this should work. Payment. Yes, we charge the rooms in the evening if there were no cancellations or payment when check in. Our hotel have several buildings and we have unfortunately, experience with some people driving away before breakfast without paying. Our facade..."green algae on entrance to unit 24" is not correct. We painted 90 % of the hotel facade last year - except this outdoor corridor among other room 24. This was the best part last year and we decided to wait with this part which was easy to reach. During the dark and wet norwegian winter now you can of course see some green algae - but not around the door to your apartment. I´m sorry it´s to early to start painting yet but this will be done in a week. All buildings are as white as you can see them at all the pictures and now the garden start to be green. We recommend to read some more reviews than this for a balanced assessment.

Came here for my brother in law 50th. The food was incredible, halibut and lamb, the rooms beautiful and very clean and fresh. The location is picturesque, overlooking the harbour. An amazing experience

If conducting business on Rennesøy this is your only viable option, but you won't be disappointed, the apartments are beautiful, the view is amazing and the food and staff are wonderful. There is a shop just across the street and the prices of the hotel and meals are very cheap
