We spent one night before a backpack trip. My single room was clean and very comfortable. It did face the local road parallel to highway 395, so there was traffic noise starting about 0530. The rooms have no A/C but management provided a fan to put in front of the window. My companions also seemed happy with their room. Unfortunately,... More

My partner and I stayed in the "caretakers cabin," which was cute and clean. There was only one other guest when we stayed on a Thursday night. We were told the bakery would be open Thursday, but they informed us upon arrival that they had just transitioned to more off season hours and would be open for dinner Saturday. We... More

Cute little lodge. Spent the night here on my way from Tahoe to LA. Liked it so much, I stayed again upon returning to Tahoe. There was nobody working at the desk either time I was there, but they did leave a phone number in case I needed anything. Everything was super clean, and the room was perfect for my... More

They accepted our venue at the last minute and saved our climbing trip. The location is perfect for outdoor climbing: spots located all around, beers available in the evening, mattresses and bathrooms very comfortables and super bakery/restaurant on the first floor. Nice views from the bedrooms on the mountains and Crowley Lake. Thanks to you guys we really enjoyed our... More

My husband and I recently took a 2 week road trip through California and Oregon. Our purpose was to introduce our young German Shepherd to the rivers, lakes, forests etc. that aren’t readily available in the big city. We began our travels by heading up to Lake Crowley, just off Hwy 395 and about 15 minutes South of Mammoth Lakes.... More

Due to the bush fires we couldn't stay at the McGee Creek Lodge. So we can't comment the place itself. But...we prebooked a room and due to the fires we couldn't make it in time. We had to cancel the room the evening before and they didn't charge anything (even no cancellation fee). Thank you McGee Creek Lodge for your... More

We stayed in one of the cottages in December, 2013. We found the room to be misrepresented from what was described online-- the unit was listed as "1 bedroom," but indeed had no door between the living area and the "bedroom." This was difficult with small children to put to bed. Also, the loft area featured only a mattress on... More

The historic McGee Creek Lodge was originally built in 1929. Early on it served the winter skiing community and enthusiasts for the first commercial lift setup on the mountain outside the front door until that operation moved to Mammoth Mountain. Today you'll find cozy rooms for travelers, fishermen, hikers and skiers. McGee Creek runs through the property with fishing year round. Each room is unique with its own warm personality.
