Just came back from a Thanksgiving trip here. This is one of the best campgrounds in SoCal. Beautiful views, a campground store for basics, nice restaurants close by, great surfing and bicycling, and of course the Cardiff Kook!! This is a very kid friendly place. The road through is narrow, but the sites are wide. When booking try to avoid...

We had a beach front site. Amazing views, short walk to beach, great surfing. Lots of great resturants within walking distance, campground next to bike path. As good as it gets for beach camping in southern California!

I stayed here for a weekend and had a fantastic time. The camp site is nice, though it is a little crowded. The campsite is practically on the beach, with a very short walk to the sand. This is a great spot to have a fun weekend by the ocean. Note: The campsite is right next to the Pacific Coast...

This is The best out of the 3 main RV beaches; San Clemente and DoHo, hands down! Been to the other 2 many more times over 40 years only because I'm from OC. NO County SD is Awesome! Well worth the extra miles IF you can reserve.

The location of San Elijo State Beach is not Del Mar but Cardiff by the Sea. This has a big camp ground, but since we live in San Diego, we are day visitors. A distinctive feature of this beach is that it is accessed by stairways. That also means there are cliffs, some of which are eroding. This is a...

The public beach and San Elijo campground operated by the State of CA are located located in Cardiff by the Sea CA 92007 NOT Del Mar. There is a day use only parking lot at the south end of the beach with life guards and rest rooms and showers. This is approaching Solana Beach CA and is 1/2 mile south...

One of best wide open Sandy beaches in SD. Must keep dog on leash. Inlet shallow area for young children, bonus. Great beach if wanting to learn how to surf or boogie boarding. Lots of pay parking. For sunset, enjoy Pacific Coast Grill for dinner or drinks.

Great campground in the northern beach towns of San Diego. Staff is great. Sites are clean. Showers and toilets kept clean but a bit old. Hot showers are $2. We had site 20 which is a hookup ocean front but it doesn't not have a view - it is hidden by bushes. The site sits next to the walkway, in...

Great place on the beach. This is the best place to enjoy the beach all day, shower in the well designed showers and have a beer while watching the sun set over the pacific. Be sure to select a site on the ocean side for a tad more quiet, at the far end of the CG even better, we were...

We love coming to San Elijo every year. This year was great. However do to the water drought the water was turned off to the showers you use after you come back for the beach. That was hard for a family to rinse off before going back to camp. The sinks out side of the bathroom was also turned off....
