Location is great if you have a car. I a small quiet village only 15min away from Naxos town. The rooms are traditional and gorgeous and the host is very accommodating, let us check out very late without any extra charges and gave us great tips for the town.

Wonderful stay in Naxos. The owner is amazing, he welcomed me and my friends in a warm and friendly way, as if we were family. He made sure that we didn't need anything and brought us home-made wine and marmalade every day. I recommend this place to people that want to spend time in an authentic and tranqule place. Thanks Vagelis!!

We had such a lovely time at Naxos Filoxenia. Vagelis, the owner, truly loves his island and shared history and recommendations with us. The studio was spacious, super cleaned and had a terrace with mountain views. Galini is a quiet town 15 mins drive away from port of Naxos. Perfect place for relaxation. Vagelis is very attentive and welcomed us with a bottle of wine from his farm. We definitely recommend this place to other visitors. We'll come back to stay here again. Thank you Vagelis!! Visited with family and I have to say it was one of the best places I have stayed into. The room was spacious, clean and well air-conditioned, with a relatively large balcony that made for lovely summer evenings. The view was great, being surrounded by hills and looking down on the little white village of Galene, whilst being no more than 5 minutes from the sea or 10 minutes from Naxos town. It really lives up to its name '' Hospitality'' having local treats awaiting you in your room as well as Vaggelis, (the owner) who was rushing to make sure that we had everything we needed. Recommend it unconditionally.

We recently enjoyed a memorable stay in Vangelis' lovely apartments. He was a thoroughly delightful host and our rooms were really lovely and comfortable. An added treat was picking apricots and collecting eggs from his personal property. THANK YOU VAN FOR ALL !!! XOXOXO

Naxos is a (thankfully) undiscovered gem of the Aegean. This wonderful home in the beautiful little village of Galini, an easy ride from Naxos port town, is a treat. The owner, Vangelis, puts his personal artistic touch on the interior and exterior (including samples of local food products). He is a sweet man who invited our 8-year-old son to pick apricots on his family farm nearby. Views of the gorgeous landscapes all around, including the marble quarries on top of a mountain.

Having spent a number of Christmases and New Years in Athens, how about experience something different in the countryside on an island? Having known Vangelis for many years and spent time at his accommodation in Chora, we were in need of a retreat. You reach the Filoxenia after negotiating winding streets and putting your driving skills to the test. A car is definitely required. But it is worth the effort. Our room was big and great, centrally heated, and with a magnificent view of the valley and the mountains beyond. The interior decoration reveals the host's interest in Naxos history. Weather was not on our side but we had some breakfasts at the balcony and enjoyed the morning serenades of feathered friends. With warmer temperatures you can enjoy the garden and have a barbeque before sunset. Galini is a sleepy village at this time. There is a small coffee house, where friendly locals gather, but the opposite taverna had not yet opened. But in nearby Engares you find Stella's taverna with genuine Greek food. 2-4 dishes per day; well prepared and using products from their own farm. And Stella is a fantastic woman. You can do a lot of walking/driving in the surroundings. Be amazed by the varied production in the valley. Fruits, vegetables, sheep, chicken. So many small farms that supplement incomes by work in the capital. A nearby beach where you are probably fairly alone even in summer. Now, even a hardened Scandinavian like myself abstained from getting wet. Fresh is the word. Vangelis took us on a winding tour up the mountains to a small excavated church with a breathtaking view of the valley, surrounding mountains and the ocean. And there is always Chora some 6 km away if you are afraid of becoming a monk. Best of all, Galani makes you forget the noise, congestion, pollution and what not of major cities and reminds us where we all came from.…

We were here for a few days in May And it was amazing... beautiful apartments, decorated with great taste and love for the envoirment. You can feel Greece in these surroundings. The view is magic and you can hear the quiet at night when you sit on your balcony watching the stars over the valley. Perfect to spend your holidays here. Close to Naxos town with a little taverna and a remarkable restaurant down the street. A real treasure hidden away in Galini. Outstanding hospitality aswell. A place to return to...
