I stayed in this resort with some friends from my dive group. We all enjoyed our stay there. We had great diving. The island was beautiful with white sands and clear lagoon. The dive school staff are very professional. The Manager, Jenny was exceptionally helpful. Our dive guide was Mel. Great guy. Thanks a lot! We all had a great...

This dive resort is a hidden treasure. Situated about 90min by fast boat from the north east of Sabah leaving from the tiny port of Semporna. Throughout our stay in the middle of November, the water was a balmy 30 deg C. Wild life were plentiful, colourful and not really dangerous. Green turtles abounded and turtle babies hatched from nests...

We've just spent ten days on this beautiful island. It's a magical place if you are a diver, but there is nothing to do except snorkeling and sunbathing. We missed a fitness center, but that is under construction and will be ready in a few months. First some small, negative things; no warm water in the villas, but on the...

They weren't lying when they described it as paradise. The little cluster of islands just off Semporna jetty really are a must if you are visiting the Sabah region in Malaysia. We had the pleasure of staying on Mataking Island. The crew picked us up from our hotel and transferred us by ferry (1 hour) to the island. We were...

It was a private island, away from all chaos and noise. The sunset was stunning. Staffs here loved and were happy with their job, and we received a happy service. The resort served buffet, and I was there on a gluten free restriction (celiac). I contacted with the resort salesperson (Eve) to make sure restaurant staffs were aware about the...

This was our last stop on our trip, and it was amazing! The snorkeling was really something, the crystal blue waters are warm and clean. We did the dive experience program, if your not terrified of deep water, do this the scenery is incredible, we lost track of how many turtles we came face to face with. Make sure you...

When we first came to Semporna and in terms of picking out which island to visit, we followed the crowd and chose Mabul Island. This was not a good choice based on our expectations. I guess if you are a diver, then perhaps it is worth it to visit the Mabul Island but if you just want to laze by...

What an amazing place! We found the staff here so friendly, the food so tasty and the accomodation so comfortable. It was our friend's birthday while we were here and the lovely staff helped my sister and I organise a surprise bottle of champagne on arrival and they even offered us a cake on the actual day of her birthday...

My husband and I did the 4D3N divers package at Mataking Island during our honeymoon. The island is beautiful, more so than we had expected. Our room (Beach Villa) was gorgeous. The diving was fantastic, as were the guides. The staff were all lovely and really helpful. We were really grateful for the effort that the staff made to cater...

“do not choose the villa; go for the beach chalet!”
  • exterior of the villa. noted its on ground level and people can see through into your room/area
  • nice bathroom
  • nice backyard but is a bit too noisy to be able to relax in that area!
  • the moon chair is literally next to the toilet windows and you can literally hear everything!
