This hotel has some excellent qualities but a few downsides too. The downsides wouldn't put be off staying, but good to be aware before you go. Downsides were - whilst the rooms were historic and quaint, they were also cluttered and bit dusty and our room was quite small. The breakfast is fairly limited in choice and there is no...

This is a lovely old hotel with charming hosts. The rooms we stayed in were in the old adobe part of the hotel and opened directly onto the balcony. The rooms were well furnished but were decked out with classic old furniture that was very appropriate for this old gem. An excellent place to stay prior to entering Yosemite National...

The staff was super friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. We brought our dog on this vacation, and as advertised, the hotel is very dog-friendly. However, when we arrived in the afternoon, we were very hungry and unfortunately, the only 2 dog-friendly places to eat were closed (a Tea Room and the restaurant at The Hotel Charlotte). The Groveland Hotel...

The Hotel was friendly and comfortable with great verandas on all sides and floors. Really felt like going back in time and with California's longest serving Saloon next door, this was a great experience.

We arrived very late around midnight, but they were informed, and had sent us information about key and room. We had a very nice room, maybe not as big as you-re used to in the USA, but it was very nice, and had an great atmosphere. The Continental breakfast which was included was very good. It's a nice place if...

Absolutely loved it. A great job of preserving the past. Very comfortable bed. Great breakfast. And nothing better than sitting on the porch and watching time go by. We look forward to our next visit.

We stayed here for an October trip to Yosemite. It's a great old hotel, comfortable bed and nice outdoor space. It has a small bar where you can have a beer and get informed by the evening caretaker, Joellen. Not far from the park. I would recommend it.

Always wanted to stay at this historic hotel on our way home thru Yosemite... Finally my husband agreed, begrudgingly. We stayed in "Lyles" room... noted for being haunted! The room was wonderful! Felt like we were in the Gold Rush days.... But wonderful amenities...Keurig, great tv... And spectacular and comfy bed. Enjoyed wine on the veranda overlooking Main Street. The...

Very cute hotel. Clean, cozy, warm. Breakfast is good but don't expect much to eat for dinner here. eat dinner before you get back to Groveland. Most of the restaurants int he area are hit and mis as to whether they are open and the hotel's restaurant was closed (we were there in season)

I hesitated to give a good or an average rating for a reason. The hotel is very charming and just perfect for this place. The location is good if you travel to the Yosemite Park, however I think just a bit far away to be a base for multiple days. But for 1 night it is a good location when...
