Staying here reminds you to take some time and enjoy the past, as you are just an open door to the present. My girlfriend and I spent a wonderful New Years in this quaint, gold rush era hotel. From the moment we arrived we were surrounded by the furniture and music from a nostalgic time. Our hosts, Lisa and Connie...

This was our second year as a couple staying here. We are always warmly greeted and were remembered! The atmosphere, food and rooms are wonderful. We have a fantastic breakfast each morning. As I am Gluten Intolerant, they make one specially for me. The music and rustic warmth of the hotel is so refreshing and inviting. I have stayed at...

After the crazy drive up the mountain & the horrible traffic coming into Main St, which the locals told me, was super rare (it WAS the day after New Years), my husband & I arrived at this cute olden day inn. This inn is super old so I'm surprised when other guests are surprised at the lack of elevators, huge...

We had always wanted to stay here, as we have visited Julian many times as a day trip. We were not disappointed. The hotel is sweetly decorated with period pieces. The breakfast was delightful and tea in the afternoon was also very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the...

This Inn was very charming and clean. We loved the warm antique decor and helpful staff. As others have noted the rooms are very small. Although we had prepared ourselves for that aspect, it still felt that we were playing in a slide puzzle, trying to maneuver around each other in the room. By arriving early we were able to...

My cousins, sister, mother & I stayed here over the weekend for our girl time getaway. The Julian Gold Rush Hotel was suggested by my cousin and the beginning of our new found family tradition. FYI: this is a historic home built in 1890. If you do your homework, this place is obviously not a modern hotel, but a beautifully...

Julian Gold Rush Hotel is a place to call home the moment you step on the porch and back in time. The rooms, parlor and grounds are exquisitely decorated in the western Victorian style. Great food. Lovely staff.

Stayed in room 8 to celebrate 83 birthday! We were able to choose our room once we arrived. The room itself was very small but very clean and nicely decorated.Comfortable beds, very quiet. Appreciated early coffee delivery in the morning. Delicious breakfast.

Love to go to the Julian Gold Rush Hotel. Will go back. This was our 4th time there. Fills like going pack in time. It is a must go place to unplug for the world. This time we took friends with us. Br back next year.

Was in Julian for a wedding and needed to stay for two nights. The Julian Gold Rush Hotel is a pretty original structure which retains lots of charm but that also means it retains some less positive aspects as an old structure. My room was on the front of the building, first floor. The room was ok sized, very low...
