My family visits every year since 1985. It is now 3 generations of just the guys for fishing and hiking. My whole family were there for Thanksgiving this year. It is a time share, however they rent out nights throughout the year. Just 15 miles north of Mammoth Lakes but without the crowds. In the summer it is fun to... More

We had only planned on staying one night, but ending up staying 5. The hotel is charming, and our room (suite) had a great view of the mountains. Love the added 'risk' of bear visits in the parking lot. Famous in the 40s for the Hollywood crowd - Bing Crosby and Bob Hope to name a few. The big staircase... More

Right in the heart of June Lake it is close to restaurants and bars. Short walk to Gull and June lakes. Staff is very nice and rooms are comfortable. I can't say too much about this place as although we spent 3 nights there we chose it purely on its location of between mammoth lakes and Yosemite and for that it's perfect to explore from. The hotel itself is kinda a pretend Bavarian lodge type affair with lots of wood and a great fireplace. For us there was one... More

We stayed here for 3 nights as a base for exploring the Yosemite area and thought it was great. Before I start my review I will say if you are looking for somewhere close to Yosemite this is a good 2 - 2.5 hour drive to the valley. I am happy driving through scenery so this wasn't an issue but... More

Thank you for clarifying our proximity to Yosemite. We are located outside of the eastern entrance to the park, only about a 20-30 minute drive to the entrance gate, but then another 1.5-2 hours until you are in the valley among the famous waterfalls. However, Yosemite is more than just valley, and there are plenty of beautiful places to stop... More

We found the Heidelberg while trying to find a place to spend the night leaving Yosemite National Park. It was getting late. We got in after dark. The desk staff person was very friendly and pleasant. The room was immaculate and the rates very reasonable. There is a lot of history to this place! I sat at the fireplace where... More

This was our first (but not our last) time at Heidelberg Inn. Our two-bedroom unit was immaculate, comfortable, and functional. The kitchen area was small, but we were able to cook meals without any problem. Be aware that there is no stove, just a two-burner cook top. (But who wants to spend their vacation cooking anyway?) The upgraded bathroom was... More

we stayed 3 nights as part of a road trip and felt at home and taken care of from the moment we arrived. Thank you Casey. Thank you for your response. We are glad that we could give you personal service, and some guests do find our pillows a little too "squishy". They are a gel filled pillow that is a little softer than normal, but overall, most guests enjoy them and we have even had folks ask to purchase them from us! More

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. The absence of an oven in the units does create a challenge for our guests, however, it does give you the chance to BBQ, which many of our guests enjoy all year, even in the snow! So, no baking or broiling, but you do have the two burner cook top... More
