Nice location but breakfast is just à joke. Old hôtel and staff understand nothing. Can find much better for value. Nice parc arround. Food verry expensive inside hôtel. Tuc Tuc to move arround are try to still you evertime so better to walk.
Was on a Tuk Tuk tour around Sihanoukville as here for the day from our cruise ship. Our last stop was here for a bit of chill time, the reception area is big and luxurious and pool area nice and relaxing. We walked along the beach area at the side of the main hotel complex and sat on a bench where we had a cold drink from a bar area. Seems a nice place to stay but all around is construction sites so maybe in a few years time the resort will be settled and finished.
We stayed one night a this hotel. The hotel is very upmarket with vast reception and restaurant areas. Extremely clean throughout. The pool is very pretty with its little bridge complete with palm trees and a swim up bar. Wait til 5pm for happy hour and the cocktails are very very good.Situated right on the private beach. This is a large property with many restaurants around the grounds. Well tended gardens and some grand ornamental features. We had an ocean wing suite which was really nice with a good balcony overlooking the pool and sea. Food at the restaurants was very good indeed and service was very attentive. I had the Bangers and Mash with onion gravy, mmmmm! Sihanoukville is horrendous. A thousand acre building site. No road or building is finished. So glad we only had one night in the splendour of the hotel.…
The Construction around this hotel and the town to turn it into a Chinese Las Vegas was absolutely terrible. Avoid at all costs. The hotel itself seems nice enough. The rooms are badly lit and while we were there , they had no TV as cables had been cut with the construction of the roads. Just stay away
Mixed views on this part of our stay. The Sokha Beach Resort itself is great. It was very quiet when we stayed due to the virus outbreak and the resort seemed empty. Great for us to relax not so good for the resort or staff. There were more staff than guests around the pool and bar areas. The rooms were large, clean a bit dated for a 5 star but overall good. The grounds are extensive and well kept and the beach....well excellent. Mostly to ourselves. Food was good and we eat there because outside the resort is another story. Be warned if you expect to wander and go into nice bars etc you won't. It is more like a war zone due to the construction. No paths, no made up roads and concrete high rises being built everywhere. Okay for us because the resort is so nice and we just wanted to relax. …
