We stayed on the top floor, which was marked as a smoking room, because it was the only room available for the dates. As non-smokers we were initially concerned that it might be smelly, but it was absolutely spotless and had no smoke odors. (It looked like there was an air purifier that's probably run between guests.) The views of...

My first trip to Hokkaido and we chose to stay in this hotel for 3D2N... didn't regret the decision as this was perhaps one of the highlights of our trip. We booked room with private onsen so that we could enjoy our hot baths privately in the comfort of our room. The view from our hotel room was also very...

Booked the shuttle service which picked us up at the Sapporo tv tower. The counter is easy to find and there was already a long queue when we arrive . This is for registering, collection of bus pass and some administrative work for checking in . Taking the shuttle is probably the best option for a tourist though the timing...

We checked in to Hanayura the first day of our Hokkaido trip. We wanted to spoil ourselves after a 7hr overnight flight hence went for the room with private onsen, comes with kaiseki dinner too. The onsen was indeed the best we had in Hokkaido. And the kaiseki dinner was superb too. A nice experience to dine in the room....

Service - there was a incident that I left behind my passport and belongings in the previous hotel. When I checked in at Hanayura, the concierge team tried their very best in helping me to contact the previous hotel for arranging the pickup at somewhere else. I very appreciated that. I booked a room with private onsen. The place was...

1. Dinner and breakfast were amazing. The dishes and ingredients were exquisite. Private dinner was initially arranged for in-room during booking, however was told that it would be in a private dining room instead. Breakfast came as a Japanese Set with additional mini buffet of both Western and Japanese dishses 2. Location was great. short walk to the small shopping...

As above. Travelled jul 2014. Kind and attentive service by female butler undeterred by lack of English speaking skills. Great food catered to dietary needs. If you go in summer may be rather hot bathing in the balcony which only fits one person. Warm departure gesture by all hotel staff when shuttle bus departs for Sapporo.

This hotel is expensive, but it was totally worth every penny! We stayed in the Japanese style room with private hot spring bath. The room is very comfortable and clean. The hot spring is the actual spring water from Hell's Valley a couple blocks away. Sitting in the private hot spring tub on the balcony and looking at the mountain...

My family and I booked 1 night stay at Ryokan Hanayura in June 2016. It was the most expensive stay during our Hokkaido trip and well worth the visit. The room was spacious with 2 western beds and a separate tatami room for tea which is converted to Japanese futon beds at night. There is space for 3 futon beds...

I was there with my husband to celebrate our 30th anniversary in early May. The hotel location is great very close to the sight-seeing location within walking distance. We booked the 1 price 2 meals package for 2 night stays. The hotel is very nice organizing with different food menu each day - no duplicate for both dinner and breakfast....
