I have been coming to Jalama Beach for many years. Very crowded in the summer. No cell service. Tar on the beach, but easy to fix with tar remover. Extremely windy, especially certain times of the year. BEST burgers on the face of the planet. Please note the current photos on the Santa Barbara Parks Dept. website do not show...

We are camping with an RV. We came from the RV Resort San Francisco in Pacifica. Compared to that place Jalamas lots are HUGE. Plenty of space for RV, car, picnic table and everything else. People here are middle aged mostly, no punks, no drunks. Lots of dogs but rarely poop, bigger problem is the tar and oil everywhere. The...

Burgers are a one of the best on the central coast. The beach is beautiful. Good selection of beer. Great place to spend the day, overnight camping is also available. Cell phones don't work well so it's a nice place to go and unplug for a bit and enjoy your friends, family, or just solitude.

Super friendly place for your family and dogs. Stayed on the top area for trailers. Great views. Good food at the shop. The trails are all labeled no trespassing, but nice people have walked the trail before so the grass is pretty well worn down. There are bathrooms and shower rooms. The cabins look nice. Can't wait to go again.

We camped for 3 days in a tent and walked the beaches north and south. Fantastic! Able to find solitude and pristine areas. Abundant sea life with shore and off shore fishing of the kelp patties. Surfing was poor when we were there but I can imagine with the right conditions it would be epic for these south facing beaches....

Great camping site. Wonderful beach. Remote location so come prepared, although a rather well stocked quaint camp store and grill (famous for its burgers). Sites offer great beach views on various levels as camping sites are terraced. Extremely dog friendly: a positive or negative depending on your canine proclivity. Down side: restrooms very dated and minimal; showers small and dirty...

A place of beauty, a place to resort back and enjoy family n friends. Has been in Sunst magazine several times now. Tent camping, trailers and cabins. Hot showers, fire pits, beautiful scenery. Beach is great for walking, surfing, wind surfing and fishing. Make sure you visit the cafe and get a Jalama burger. Close to Vandenberg AFB, Santa Maria...

We got there late at night so did not realize how beautiful the drive was. Very peaceful. No phone service so if you really want to get away this is the place. It can get windy but beautiful view spring is good time to see the wild flowers in bloom. Recommend for couples and families

After years, I was finally able to come back to Jalama, and it's still the best little camp spot ever. They now have cabins available too. I'm definitely going to look into those next time. Camping right on the sand or even a few feet away IS THE BEST!
