The Queen Mary. The original. I have had the privilege of visiting the Queen Mary and taking the tour a few time over many years. I have a fascination with ships, having done a contract on a cruise ship many years ago. But my father who worked his way up to skipper and a grand father who worked as a... More

....... you just have to stay on this iconic ship. We stayed here as part of our 'Coast to Coast' trip across the USA and this was the last but one stop and obviously a 'must do'. Loads to see and do, memorabilia from a bygone age throughout the ship - see our photos.

Obviously a different experience from most hotels since you are staying on a ship. But the ship was built in the 1930s and it shows -- the plumbing and decor is all very old fashioned. If you like to travel back in time a bit, you would enjoy this stay.

We stayed for one night and arrived at 9pm, our reservation for two twin beds was given away as they said we arrived too late. We drove 3hrs to get there and were quiet dismayed that the only room left was a king in a handicapped room all the way at the end of the boat. It strikes me odd,... More

Recently my wife and I stayed on the Queen Mary. As some have pointed out, she's showing some wear, but our room was very comfortable, the staff was wonderful, and it was great fun roaming the ship and exploring the history. I highly recommend getting a drink in the art deco bar and maybe a snack. Fun to sit and... More

My husband and I recently took a trip to southern California. One of our stops was to tour the Queen Mary in Long Beach. We had planned ahead and booked a stateroom for one night. Upon check-in, they gave us a room on the port side. We opted to return to the front desk and request a harbor-side room. We... More

Staying on the queen Mary wa a little pricey but well worth it. Food was great, but they don't have Cholula so bring your own. Extremely comfortable. It was kind of like being on Titanic, but without the sinking. That's all for the review

We attempted to make a reservation at this hotel. Entered my credit card information and received my confirmation after it processed. After about an hour I had not received my confirmation email and called out of concern. They stated my reservation never existed and the hotel was completely booked those days for an event. I asked if they had cancelled... More
