Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.

Older hotel along Venice Beach Oceanfront pathway, with a 24/7 rooftop patio to watch the sunsets. The location is home to many homeless people along the beach, but at no time did I feel unsafe. We walked out at night with no issues.

Thank you for choosing Venice Suites for you stay in Venice Beach California. We are happy you enjoyed our Venice Beach Boardwalk location, found the accommodations comfortable and the staff helpful. We pride ourselves on having the best rooftop terrace of any hotel on the Venice Beach Boardwalk with a gas barbecue, kitchen cooking area, sectional couch, dining tables, sun chairs and spectacular panoramic views of the ocean and city. We hope you will stay with us again in the future. The best rates are only available by booking directly with us via our website or phone.

Great Location. Staff Abbey was very helpful and informative made us feel as if were at our home away from home. Only bad thing I would say was the homeless was very loud at night. If staying here I would recommend staying on the highest floor.

This is a place for those who want to live next to the beach. Next to all the street life. But not noisy at all. Easy to sleep and nice with own kitchen to be able to eat breakfast in the morning with a view over the beach. The roof terrace is also a great view.

We loved it but I can imagine others wouldn't. Clean building is definitely rustic/historic. All types of people: street performers, professionals, homeless and families. Good place for exploring Venice Beach and Santa Monica.

Hello, Thank you, we are so happy you 'loved' our hotel, and appreciated our beautifully restored 1920's era ocean front building. Venice Beach has a very diverse population and may not be for everyone. But for the adventure seeking traveler there is no place like it in the world. Please come back and stay with us again very soon. Best regards, General Manager Venice Suites.

Honestly I don't think there will be anyone at the office late so you may have to pick up your key when you drop off the luggage. You will need to call them in advance and figure it out.

Is the parking off site and if its a parking garage what is the daily cost? Thanks
Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. The secured parking garage, with in/out privileges, is a couple of blocks away from the hotel. It is a 5 minute walk back to the hotel from the garage. The cost is $10/night. There is a small parking lot adjacent to the hotel for loading and unloading of your vehicle (10 minute limit). Best regards, Randy The Venice Suites Management Team

Hi do you have hair dryers in all rooms?
There was a hair dryer in our room, also a 10 cup coffee maker, coffee, tea, dishes for 2 and a working stove. Right on the beach. Tiny elevator, but great staff.

"Room at the back doesn't have the ocean views, but avoids the noise from the crowds out front"
"We enjoyed our ocean view room. The front row seat to Venice area was great."
"Ocean front rooms are the ones to book."
"When booking ask for a room with a view of the beach."
"Rooms facing out onto the beach would be quieter as buildings on either side seemed to echo the noise."
