Older hotel along Venice Beach Oceanfront pathway, with a 24/7 rooftop patio to watch the sunsets. The location is home to many homeless people along the beach, but at no time did I feel unsafe. We walked out at night with no issues.
My husband and I stayed for one night last week as a stop over on our way to San Diego We had decided LA wasn't for us but wanted to see Santa Monica and Venice. Venice suited was a great find. The hotel is right on the beach, the room was clean and spacious and the laundry…
Great Location. Staff Abbey was very helpful and informative made us feel as if were at our home away from home. Only bad thing I would say was the homeless was very loud at night. If staying here I would recommend staying on the highest floor.
This is a place for those who want to live next to the beach. Next to all the street life. But not noisy at all. Easy to sleep and nice with own kitchen to be able to eat breakfast in the morning with a view over the beach. The roof terrace is also a great view.
We loved it but I can imagine others wouldn't. Clean building is definitely rustic/historic. All types of people: street performers, professionals, homeless and families. Good place for exploring Venice Beach and Santa Monica.
"Room at the back doesn't have the ocean views, but avoids the noise from the crowds out front"
"We enjoyed our ocean view room. The front row seat to Venice area was great."
"Ocean front rooms are the ones to book."
"When booking ask for a room with a view of the beach."
"Rooms facing out onto the beach would be quieter as buildings on either side seemed to echo the noise."
