The problems began when I called a week prior to check in to request two double beds rather than a king size. They said they were unable to accommodate because of the convention but that I would have a rollaway bed at check-in. When we checked in there was no rollaway bed. We had to wait an additional 20 minutes...

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Downtown Los Angeles the night before our wedding and the night of our wedding. We are both native Angelenos and our wedding was near downtown LA. We could have picked any hotel but decided to go with what we thought would be the nicest hotel in downtown la. We were disappointed from the...

The R-C shares space with the JW Marriott and it was amusing to see people confused on which entrance was which (hint, Olympic Blvd is for the JW Marriott, the R-C is around the corner). Spectacular views of Los Angeles, if you're lucky, high enough up and it's a clear day you can see all the way to the ocean....

From the kind upgrade to a spectacular suite to the excellent service, The Ritz-Carlton LA made our stay wonderful. The club floor staff kept us in meals, snacks and drinks and even made me a dinner reservation. Everyone from housekeeping to the concierge, who provided the hotel car when we were in a pinch, went out of their way to...

The Ritz-Carlton in Downtown LA delivers on everything you would expect from the Ritz. The hotel is modern and comfortable from the moment you walk through the doors. The room was very comfortable with a good size bath and spectacular views of LA. Take advantage and spend a little more for the club lounge which is the prefect place to...

This is a great hotel! The rooms are clean and spacious and the location is great, since the hotel is very nearby Staples Center, where we watched the Lakers play! The highlight, though, was the very kind concierge, Patricia, who helped us use Uber and also helped us book tours and tickets. The overall service was great and the staff...

It's an excellent option in LA. Very comfortable bed, excellent view, amazing staff and the spa is very comfty and luxurious. My boyfriend and I had a very great day in the hotel and it's so close from the Staples Center. Little pricey but it's worth it!

Wonderful stay for my spouse's birthday. We are Angelenos, so often do stay-cations at local hotels. This is the first time downtown at LA Live. We were attending WonderCon at the convention center and it was a birthday, so good time to stay downtown. The Ritz is always wonderful....class act...."ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen" as the founder says!...

The rooms are clean and spacious. They're definitely comfortable. From what I remember, the bathroom did not have a vanity (which is a bit of an annoyance when you're trying to do your hair and makeup). It's right next to the Staples Center. It's busy. It's LA.

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
