The staff here is so helpful and friendly that it blew my mind! I don't know if I've ever been treated so kindly by hotel staff. The car service is a huge bonus if one is trying not to rent a car and mostly doing activities near the hotel. The room was a bit disappointing. It looked like it had...

We stayed over for 1 night only - before joining cruise ship at San Pedro port the next day. Hotel was a bit far away from port, but was the hotel supplied by travel company. Hotel & room very clean. Beds very comfy - slept really well. Reception staff gave us all freshly baked cookies when checking in, but didn't...

This is a great property. We arrived early and they had a room ready for us. The room was clean, furnishings are in good repair and attractive. Bed is comfortable and pillows are great! Public areas are very nice. Be sure to check out the Japanese Garden, it is a lovely spot. My husband was impressed with the fitness center....

Let me start by saying the staff is wonderful. Customer service was excellent and our room was clean, comfortable, and updated. There's a nice bar & restaurant on site. The restaurant "Justice" had a day party on the weekend! Little Tokyo is 2 minute walk and has really good restaurants and shopping. Parking was overpriced $30 but it's downtown L.A....

It's a very nice hotel, we were excited to be staying there until we ran into problems with our room. Our original dogital checkin room was locked from the inside so they switched us, but into a much smaller room than we had originally chosen. And because of this room switch we were unable to connect to the free WiFi....

We have been very happy with the rooms, staff, food, and convenient location. The hotel's Kyoto Garden is a beautiful and relaxing oasis in the middle of the city. And, of course, the Doubletree's signature cookies are delicious!

This particular Doubletree is in downtown Los Angeles, close to many governmental and private businesses. It is lovely, clean, reasonably priced, and the food is good. The staff is extraordinarily efficient and friendly.

Close to the union station and downtown and hence easily accessible. The rooms and toilet were bit small compared to others. The staff were great and the restaurants are superb. The breakfast spread is generous and mouth watering...great experience and would be back again.

Due to the fact our shower did not drain water is one of the reasons we would not recommend this hotel. The windows being extremely dirty was expected with the weather we have had. The main reason for our dissatisfaction during our stay was the service and quality of food in the restaurant Urban Tavern. After waiting nearly 8 minutes for...

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
