The Chinese man at the reception was horrible... He was unwelcoming, spoke very badly English. It is unacceptable even if it is not a luxury hotel ! Zero professionalism... Except that, the room was quite nice... But with this bad service, I went to another hotel. Only one advantage : geographic situation

Another train passenger told us about this place, and after the hotel I booked months ago put us in a noisy room, we switched to this one. It is quiet, convenient to Union Station, lots of good restaurants to walk to, pretty good bed, nice, tiled bathroom, good water pressure, hot water, pretty good air conditioning(yes, it is the middle... I stayed here for one night before I started my cruise, I had flown all the way from Perth and arrived in at 8am the staff were so lovely and let me check into my room early, which I was so thankful for. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked. It is only a... More

Rooms had the bad smell because of the mold, also probably smoked before, pillows had the terrible smell too. Breakfast variety was so limited. Since the hotel has the best location (if you aim to visit the museums and to spend your time downtown of the LA), they do not care about quality or service. Guests can make noise with... More

My wife and I and a couple friends stayed at the Metro Plaza last month for Halloween weekend and we had a very enjoyable stay. The parking for the hotel is a great deal, as most hotels in Downtown/Chinatown charge in the $20-30 range per night. At the Metro Plaza it was $5 per day. The hotel is super close... More

Can't beat the price and location! My Wife and I were pleasantly surprised. In town for business in the area of the Hotel. Not the Ritz but the value can't be beat. the place is not new but clean for it's locale and what it is. Don't be thrown by the neighborhood, it's a typical, downtown fringe area but its... More

In real estate, there are three main attributes to any piece of real estate: location, location, and location. If you are traveling my Amtrak and need a hotel for a layover, this hotel has location, location, and location. Unfortunately, that is all it has. It is about a block and half from the jail/criminal arraignment courts. The building itself shares... More

It was clean and the staff very helpful. The location close to the train station. The breakfast was nice too. The hotel is maybe a little bit expensive for what ir offers, but is the only one in the area.

I came in on the train and could not have asked for a more convenient location. The staff was very friendly and I was able to leave my luggage at the desk when I arrived too early to check in to my room. This is a limited service budget hotel. Parking is not free, nor is it in most downtown... More
