Hotel itself was fine, didn't bother with breakfast as it was a go bag that you microwave. The problem was we booked an extra day and they double charged our credit card. I spoke to them they said only 1 charge would go through, after 3 weeks of waiting for our money to be returned we emailed them, no reply , a few days later we emailed again , no reply ... We only got our money back because the charge times out after 30 days and the bank automatically releases the money back to us. We are still waiting on a reply from the hotel. still no reply

Hotel's Favourite
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this Quality Inn. It is centrally located in Hollywood and just a couple blocks from the LA Metro Rail, making it easy to get to other parts of town. Rooms have exterior corridors offering views either of the pool courtyard or looking out into the surrounding neighborhood. Inside, rooms are spacious with a water closet, large mini fridge (oxymoronic, I know), and a large counter below the TV. The bed was very comfortable and had several USB outlets for charging all gadgets. Housekeeping was by-request and each morning there was a grab-and-go breakfast consisting of a turkey sausage breakfast sandwich, Belvita bar, strawberry-flavored waffle, and a bottle of water, which made for a great way to start out each day. It's not the Hollywood Roosevelt, but it's clean, safe, and comfortable and every staff member I met was friendly, helpful, and cheerful.

We had read the reviews of previous people staying at the hotel and we didn’t hold out much hope for this hotel, but let me tell you, I would have absolutely no problem in staying here again. The room we had was spacious, very clean and everything you needed in it, Microwave, Decent sized Tv, Fridge. The staff from reception right down to the cleaners where really friendly and also welcoming. We would have no problem staying here again.

I was looking for a place close by my son and he told me about this one. I just thought it would be good as I am a Choice Privilege member and could get points. I needed to pay in advance which was fine. The clerk at check in was not friendly. I was not acknowledged as a Privilege member. I had to use a card same one even though was advance. There is no coffee in lobby or even a rest room. It is a room. Heat did not work properly never got really warm.....NO HOT WATER !!!! The room was not very clean and there is mold and crud on shower head.....bath tub around edges dirty and only a bag breakfast. There are a lot of other choices around and for over $200 well in advance for what I got is a rip off STAY AWAY

We had picked this hotel given its proximity to Universal Studios. We were only going to use the hotel literally to sleep and shower. And we were looking for no frills. We were driving down from NorCal after a full day's work so we were going to be late for check-in. We had let them know and they were quite okay with it. We reached the hotel very close to midnight. The front desk was manned by Fahim and he was such a thorough gentleman. Polite, courteous and greeted us with a smile. He patiently answered our questions and gave us good suggestions (when asked). When you've had a long day and are tired from the driving, all you want is someone to treat you well and get your room as quickly as possible. Fahim did exactly that. Overall, we had a pretty decent experience at the hotel. Other reviews have mentioned about the breakfast, so just be aware and go with the right expectations.

We stayed in two rooms over four nights for a quick visit to LA between Christmas and New Years 2022. The biggest positive here is the location. It is one block away from the walk of fame. Several of our outings were within walking distance. The desk staff was generally very pleasant and helpful. We appreciated that they were able to put us in adjacent rooms. We did have a few concerns. Our room was damaged: we had no toilet paper holder. They had repaired the wall, though still needed to do painting and installation of a toilet paper holder. This was only a minor inconvenience. Breakfast was free, but "grab and go" which meant you ask for a bag at the front desk, and they give you an assortment of 1 or 2 breakfast items that required microwaving (in the room), a pack of breakfast cookies, and a bottle of water. You make your own coffee in the room. In other words, the breakfast is adequate but unsatisfying. Our coffee maker was wonky - we had to hold the "on" button continuously for the water to flow through the filter. The temperature controls are motel-typical wall units, and it was not easy to get it right. We did have trouble with the room keys for the 2nd room going bad a few times, but that may have been our fault (keep your phone away from them, apparently), and the front desk promptly helped us with it. We asked for our rooms to be cleaned one day halfway through the stay, but only one got cleaned. We alerted the front desk and got the supplies we needed, and our room got cleaned the next day. As a triathlete, it is my tradition to leave information for traveling athletes. There is no on-site gym, and the pool is tiny (and outdoors, so weather must permit recreational swimming). I have a membership to LA Fitness, which is two blocks away, and they have a 25 yard pool and plenty of exercise machines. Two people (both Quality Inn staff and LA Fitness staff) recommended Runyon Canyon for runners. This is about 0.4 miles from the hotel. Beware though - both the roads to the trail, and the trail itself, is straight up. I got nearly 1000 feet of elevation before turning around after 2.5 miles. The views are breathtaking and worth a hike, but I had to do the treadmill the next day. All in all, this was not a bad experience, but I will probably part with a few more dollars the next time I visit LA.

We stayed here recently for 3 nights for a quick stopover in LA. Firstly, the good: Daytime staff were very friendly and helpful. Thankyou. Room was very tidy and quite modern. Excellent shower pressure and the bed was extremely comfortable. Lots of places to eat nearby which was handy (mostly takeaway style restaurants). Good value for money compared to other hotels in LA. Now for the not so good: It's very near a large intersection and it was quite loud at night. Not the hotel's fault of course, but just a word of warning if you're a light sleeper it might not be a good option for you. Lots of homeless in the area as well, nothing to worry about but just something to be aware of if that's not something you're used to seeing on a day-to-day basis. And now, for the bad: We checked in late in the evening. The night time staff member is one of the rudest people I have ever come across. He was far too interested in watching Netflix in the office than helping paying customers check in. We encountered him a few times during our stay and his rudeness was consistent to say the least. He wouldn't even let us get changed after collecting our luggage (despite daytime staff advising that we could), as we "might steal the bottled water from the luggage storage room". For goodness sake. Based on his terrible "customer service" I'm sorry to say I would not consider staying here again as long as this man is working there.

this is a hotel not to be considered, should have been good in the past but not any more. Bad staff, not willing to help, not even a decent attitude, rooms dirty, old-dated and bad smells, dont even look at the carpet close, needs refurbishment, we really had a bad time as traveling with baby-twins. At last they said offer free breakfast, this is ridiculous its a bottle of water cereal bar and frozen burrito? made me laugh. Anyways, for those considering (mainly families), traveling DONT make it.

Before arriving at this hotel we were unsure as to what to expect, this hotel is very different to what we would be used to in terms of what a hotel looks like or has to offer. To us this was more of a motel type accommodation. We arrived and checked in, staff member was very welcoming and polite. We proceeded to our room which was on the 2nd floor which we had to carry our luggage up 2 sets of stairs (no lift) we then arrived at our room and from we sat foot inside there was a strange smell to the room(almost like a food smell) the room was dated and would of needed an update, the same for the hotel as a whole. The room came with a microwave, coffee machine and fridge which came in handy as there was no breakfast offered at the hotel at the time of stay, instead we were offered a breakfast bag in the morning which included a frozen burrito, a biscuit and bottle of water. There was a pool area in the middle of the hotel which was clean and well presented. Location was great being in walking distance to sunset boulevard and Hollywood boulevard. To us this was just a very average hotel/motel.

While the building is a bit old and the neighborhood is a bit sketchy this hotel was a joy to visit. They did some great upgrades to make this old building feel new. "Wood" floors and tile bathrooms ensured a clean room. Location is convenient to Universal Studios (roughly 10 minute drive with easy freeway access) and "Hollywood" tourist attractions. plenty of restaurants and a few bars within an easy walk. The highlight of this place was the staff. Both at check in and at our daily comings and goings the front desk staff were charming and ready with a friendly greeting.
