We pre-paid this hotel more than six months in advance for a special last night in California before flying home to the Gulf. Absolutely made to feel special from the moment we arrived (after a long bumper to bumper ride from Carmel by he front desk staff and the Valet Parking. We had missed the sunset, but the nighttime view...

This is a really nice hotel which offers great service at a great location. They offer valet parking which is handy. Food is excellent but if you want to go to Nobo which is 100yds up the road, you need to book early. There was even a whale just outside our room this morning. Malibu pier is just 100yds away...

What a wonderful hotel! Beautiful views, amazing staff - so attentive! - and delicious food. Loved it. Rooms in the side have more road noise and less fantastic views so splurge for the full ocean view.

Thank you so much to the staff of Malibu Beach Inn for making my 'time off' vacation PERFECT! At the end of October I decided I wanted to get some 'ocean' time. I had just returned from Martha's Vineyard and wanted to spend some time in California before winter sets in where I live in Oklahoma. I remember loving Malibu,...

The good: Friendly staff, stunning sea front view. The bad: Double glass door didn't block the loud wave noises, thin wall(you can hear people talking beside you and walking above you), not generous with coffee/tea/snacks, old furnitures, bed too soft, pillows too flat and you can't closed the curtain 100%

Dear Calidomca, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay! We are so glad you enjoyed your time with us in Malibu but are sorry that the sounds were bothersome; especially those of the ocean as most of our guests travel to Malibu in order to enjoy the sound of the waves. Please know that...

I have stayed here twice, and also dined at the restaurant. PROS: 1. You are ON THE BEACH. Steps lead to the small, rocky beach during low time. 2. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Walking distance to Nobu, the Malibu Pier, ect. 3. Very friendly, attentive staff. 4. Comfortable bed! CONS: 1. Some rooms are right off of the street/ parking lot....

Lovely hotel and amazing location. Really the only hotel in Malibu....luck its a nice one. The rooms are a bit cheap, but they are redoing them with one of my favourite interior designers. Make sure you walk down to the Pier and have dinner at the Malibu Farm.

There is nothing bad to say about this Inn. The service from the staff was amazing. The room was clean and the bed was so so so amazingly comfortable. There are fresh made cookies at the reception that were tasty treats and a wonderful surprise. When we asked for something, it was brought in a timely manner and with a...

It's all about expectations. And when you pay over $700 for a night, expectations are higher. So although we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, I could not put more than 3* compared to other properties I have stayed at. I will start with the negative points and end with the good, because it was a good stay. First impressions are important...

Staying in Malibu

Neighbourhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
