The MacCallum House was our most peaceful stop on a three week trip to coastal California. The house is adorable and the grounds were bursting with flowers. We stayed in the gazebo/playhouse which was fun, but the trip to the bathroom (especially in the morning when others are eating breakfast not too far away) is a bit daunting. However, we...

We were looking to just get away from the city life and the heat; and we found it at the MacCallum House SUITES. OUR ROOM: We stayed in the Napoleon Suite #30. It is in another inn located 4 blocks away from the main property. It was perfect, No kids were there and the walls are pretty thick. The room...

We were at MacCallum House Suites from July 20-21 for our 34th anniversary, and for the most part, we loved our stay. We had won the online auction which by the way, you get more if you bid and win this auction than if you go to Luxury Link. Because you can choose any room on the property if you...

The MacCallum House was really a wonderful choice for us; we loved it. The highlights: -We had our own little cabin (#7); it was small but very cozy. -The gardens surrounding the property are gorgeous and diverse (as are those all around mendocino). -The breakfasts (they're included) were sensational. We tried the burrito, the eggs benedict, the salmon tostada, and...

My husband and I had traveled to Mendocino years ago when we lived in Carmel, and found it delightful. We felt as if we had dropped ourselves into L.A. when we returned to Carmel after our peaceful getaway. Years later we find ourselves living in a city with a need for a peaceful respite and this sleepy seaside village did...

I stayed at MacCaullum house for a weekend recently with my boyfriend and his parents. We all (including the folks) were disappointed with the service. There is a very large lack of finesse and accomodation in dealing with the guests. We had several incidents during our two day stay and witnessed several other unhappy guests. Not the least of which,...

Spent the second night of our honeymoon at MacCullum house. The restaurant was absolutely fabulous. The food was fantastic, organic and local. We would come back for the food alone!! We stayed in the barn. Our room was cute. The bed was very comfortable, the sheets were soft and cozy as were the towels. Breakfast in the morning was included...

Like many places on the west coast, this place is over priced, over rated, and just plain dirty. No one bothered to tell us when we reserved the room that there would be backhoes and dumpsters sitting in front of the hotel. Oh, and don't be surprised if you get relocated to "one of their other properties" with beautiful gas...

We just drove back from our short Mendocino vacation, and we already miss the MacCallum House ! We spent the last 4 days enjoying the property , the excellent food at the restaurant, and the beautiful rooms. The first 2 days we stay at the Suites, room 31, which are located a walk away from the main property, the room...

We would DEFINITELY recommend a stay at the MacCallum House! As suggested by friends and frequent visitors to the MacCallum House, my husband and I spent our 1st wedding anniversary in Mendocino. The service was top notch and very personal. The staff is extremely friendly and very knowledgable about the local history. We stayed in room #9, the Abbey Blair....
